Not only that, but you deleted the post I commented in asking you to give credit where it is due. Please do not evade the issue. That is rude and petulant behaviour. I am not asking you to remove the icon, just to give credit.

And we finally got her to conceed, but not apologize. Note to self: Do not make Kat mad.

Kwajo still has not verified his e-mail address with paypal, so I can't do anything about that. Tomorrow I'm gonna do the contact forms. I've already e-mailed him about it and called him yesterday. I IMed him, but he's non-repsonsive. Whatever. He IMed me back. I got the freakin' carts done and working. Only one is missing a price. Just have to do the e-mail forms tomorrow and it'll be done!

Mike called me tonight. I'm gonna have to go down to the city and stay at his place so we can work on the Terps DVD. The plan is that he's going to come get me on Wednesday. Probably stay for a few days. Meet up with Jen too, I think.

Just submitted one of my Nightcrawler icons to i_contest. Sort of forgot about the deadline >_< So, I hope I make it in. Still no banner for the one contest I won though :-/

Oh, and look at the new icon ::points:: Woohoo! I had to switch out Alan for Ewan.. but it's worth it for a while :-D 15 icons is not enough...

Probably gonna help Nacey with some web stuff before I go to bed.

AIM and Firewalls

After spending all night tweaking and testing settings (with the help of ozw, fyrdrakken, logansrogue, and sezzag), I was only able to get file transfer to work with Oz and he could dc to me, but I can't dc to him. *smacks AIM and router*

This claims that now finally AIM will work.

Basically, everyone behind a firewall trying to connect to someone behind a firewall needs to have the latest beta. The catch is, you can't direct connect or file transfer to anyone with a previous version.

ozw, I'm thinking about getting the beta. Does it tweak at all? What did you think of it? DeadAIM 3.2.1 supports the 5.2 Beta.

pgnblade - know anything about this? I messed with the forwards and port triggers a million times.

Before I install it, I'll have to remember to back up my away messages and stuff. I forget and I get pissed off.

Interview & AIM stuff

Got back from it about an hour ago. It was highly stressful. I don't like meetings. It went okay I guess. I hmm'd and uhmm'd my way through it and pretty much communicated my disinterested. I don't really want the job that bad. I told the guy that I wouldn't be available for a month around December and he kinda stopped at that. That might the deal breaker. Told him it was no big deal and it was understandable if they wouldn't hire me.

The teaching test went okay. I'm sure I didn't explain things as well as I could have. Oh well. It was amusing watching adults try to fold paper frogs.

And I just tested AIM 5.2 Beta with buhfly. Also, it seems to work with lower versions if the lower version initiates the direct connect and send command.

Scifi 1701D: oh.. apparently 5.1 can connect to 5.2 if 5.1 initiates the connection

So... yes. People behind a firewall or using that damn Linksys router, go get the AIM 5.2 Beta. I dunno if I still need to have those ports open though... Gonna test that next.

Okay.. tried that. No port forwarding or triggering needed. You don't need to set that up. And file transfer works. If not initially, then have the other person direct connect. Yay.
