Well. Woke up and I was having one of those days. You know, the ones where I am dizzy and migraine-y and tired. Ugh. So I called in. I thought about going in later, but it never happened.

Instead I watched Doctor Who series 4. Yeah. It was pretty great. spoilery chatter )

Argh. I guess I should try and upgrade my video drivers and see if that fixes anything. Hrm. Middle of something, so maybe.. later? Yeah.

Also watch Dr. Horrible again. On the big TV! It was so shiny. And watched Underworld: Evolution. Still really like that series of films. I do! They're not the best written things, but whatever. Obviously I'm a sucker for vampire/werewolf things.

Still feeling light-headed and blah, so I do believe I'm headed for bed now...

This morning I had a fun little trip to the doctor, which resulting in my giving four vials of blood and a referral to a GI specialist. It's possible that I have celiac. Hooray :-P If the blood tests come back looking that way, I'm going to have to have an endoscopy to do a stomach biopsy or something. Lovely.

After work, I met up with [livejournal.com profile] queenmaab at Goodwill too look for some Halloween things. I picked up a frilly skirt that I think will work well for my gothy vampire costume. Also stopped at Target on the way to get some cheap headphones for the Micro and a couple other things.

Took my Zen Micro to work with me to see how long the battery would go. I think it's about 6 hours, which is a lot less than the expected battery life. Could just need a new battery though, and I do have one of those coming. Even if it isn't at least I'll have an extra. I did notice, however, that the headphone jack was tweaky, like most people have mentioned. When I got home I tried taking the metal casing off to get to it, but.. uhm... I couldn't get the resin off and then I thought I broke it, so I switched it with the back piece from the other player whose main body is broke. This one seems to have been soldered correctly and the jack isn't loose at all. Had a bit of a scare after I put it back together. It wouldn't start and kept freezing on "Rebuilding Library," but I went into Recovery Mode, ran clean up and it's all good now. *phew*

I have decided to name this player Spacemonkey, for perhaps not obvious Stargate-y reasons. Seriously, this player was dead, then alive but confused, then dead, then alive, then sort of dead, and now alive again! So, yes. Space monkey.

Music transfer, I figured out, is pretty easy -- just drag & drop into Media Player and then copy it over :-P Have no clue how I'd get it off, but whatever. This player is really just for shits & giggles, so I'm not that concerned. Right now I'm just dumping some stuff on it so I can get a nice mix.

Hm. Now I think it's time to go get some food before Friday night shows. Doctor Who finale! Moonlight! Stargate Atlantis! Hurray!

Uhm. Today was sort of odd. I'm not sure where it went.

I planned on getting to work on time, but that didn't happen. Who's surprised? Yeah. I did get there early enough that I could actually leave at 4:30pm though. The shift went pretty fast as I kept myself occupied. Unfortunately, I had to train someone and I didn't really want to. I'm just going to have to do his work again. Ugh.

After work, I had to stop at the post office to mail a couple things. It was, of course, pouring rain at that time. Oh well. Thankfully the post office in the mall has its own parking section so I could park closer. That was only like $6, but I had to charge it because I was $0.30 short on the cash. Meh.

When I got home, I hopped online to check on my auctions. I've been trying to get a Zen Micro to see if I can fix it. First auction was a no go. I bid too early and left 30 seconds for someone else to scoop in. I did finally win one, though. Two Zen Micros with unspecified defects. Hoping at least one of them just has a drive problem. So that was $37. Then I had to get a CF card from Newegg as well as RAM for my mom's friend's laptop -- add $56. Found DVDs of Reboot on iOffer.com, so I got those as well. Actually, I'd been eyeing those for awhile.

I don't know what my deal. I'm sort of spiraling into uncontrolled spending right now and that's really not good. Usually I only do that when I'm super aggro and depressed, which... I don't think I'm depressed. Usually I know. Monday I'm probably going to have to call the doctor. I've lost something like 10lbs in the last month, which is weird because I've actually been eating more regularly than I used to. Also I just generally feel.. uncomfortable. Plus the dizzy and sort of disoriented and the lack of concentration and focus.. again. So, yeah, I guess I should go to the doctor.

Didn't watch any of the premieres tonight. Thankfully, we have DVR now, so I just programmed Doctor Who (the finale), Moonlight, and Stargate: Atlantis. I'll watch them tomorrow probably. I thought we were going to the garlic festival tomorrow, but I guess we're going Sunday? D'oh. I could have gone to the Warrensburg Garage Sale with [livejournal.com profile] queenmaab. Oh well... at least this way though, I'll have time to work on some other stuff.

Oh. Got three new games for my DS. Prism: Light the Way, Tetris DS, and QuickSpot. Prism is sort of an interesting little puzzle game and Tetris is just Tetris with wacky backgrounds. QuickSpot is my favorite of the three. So. Maybe I'll get off the computer and go play that some more...

Yet another reason reason for my to love [livejournal.com profile] ozw: he sends me kick-ass trailers, like this one for Fido, a pet zombie family comedy. How can anyone not like that?

I missed the Robot Chicken Star Wars episode. Thankfully, Best Week Ever comes to the rescue by having the complete episode online. So much love for Seth Green and crew.

I'm kind of glad I haven't picked up season 2 of Twin Peaks yet. TVShowsOnDVD reports that a Definitive Gold Box Edition of the complete series will be available in October. Sweet.

I am so very behind on everything. Have not watched any Doctor Who this season, even though the squeeing on my LJ is making me very keen to watch it. I think I will probably just wait until the season is over and try to marathon the whole thing like I did with last season.

So this morning I had a very clear adverse reaction to gluten. I needed something quick for breakfast so I just threw a large portion of strawberry trifle in a container and left for work. Yeah. Well. About 10 minutes after I ate I started to feel really sick. Pretty much I wanted to die. I was getting dizzy and my vision was all weird and I was so, so tired and vomity. During my morning break, I went down and sat in my car with all the windows open. After I had my lunch I was a bit better, but was still sort of sickish. I finally left work half an hour early, though I could have sucked it up and stayed 'til 4:30pm, but I just couldn't deal anymore.

So far tonight I've managed to put away some clothes that have been laying about and also clear off my bed, mostly. Next I want to try and put away all this extra yarn that is kicking about. Just don't know how I want to sort it yet. Hm. Guess I'll put on some music and just get right to it.
