Just got back from some shopping. Not really amused with the way people ar driving and parking, but it wasn't too bad inside the stores. Of course, I only went to a shoe place, Target, and Joann's. No mall for me today. Got two pairs of shoes for the and a belt for bro. I went a little spend happy and got three long sleeve shirts, 21 ounces of yarn (for a super long scarf), a needle case, scrap fabric (for ShepBear's Atlantis jacket) , and fabric dye. I needed 1/2" webbing and clips to make the tactical holster, but of course Joann's had the clips, but not the webbing. Ugh. And now I'm looking at the site and they don't have clips or the webbing in the right size. So I just bought a bunch of clips and webbing from Creative Designworks. Now I've got enough to make two (maybe three) sets of straps, but still need to figure out the actual holster bit.

Alias has been cancelled and I feel like I should care, but... I don't. So sad. (link via [livejournal.com profile] cheapevilgirl)

I think Geek Mix volume 2 is going to belong to Kavanaugh.

You, too, huh? It feels strange to be so indifferent about a show we once loved.
Will that ever happen with Atlantis, too?

I really hope it doesn't, but the longer a show is on the air, the less intersting it seems to become. We can only hope that as long as we still like the characters, we'll still watch the show.

Which was the rub with Alias, wasn't it? To me, at least. I stopped liking Sydney, and, man, did that ever pose a problem.
Can't see that happening with Atlantis yet, though - as long as they keep Sheppard and McKay.
(Please tell my inner cynic to shut up?)

On the topic of long scarves:

I'd love a Dr. Who scarf, but since I didn't/don't watch the show, I thought that was a little wrong XD I did make two 8' Harry Potter scarves for friends last year.

If you think the driving where you are has been bad, try down in Cornwall today. It never snows there, so the drivers don't know how to deal with it, and it's all ridiculous hills that in my book are technically walls. My sister witnessed several car accidents in her tiny Cornish village today. That's what I call silly driving.

Meanwhile, knitting a scarf sounds like a damned good idea. It's brass monkeys out.

Ugh. Every year we always get accidents on the first snowy day. People just forget how to drive. The worst people are the new SUV owners because they think they can drive the normal 50mph down an icy/slushy road. Idiots.
