amezriOMG. skip=345 and I think I've gotten through my flist. Skimmed a lot of things and missed a lot of fanfic and such, but I'll go through the comms and catch up later. So.. here's what happened yesterday.

seijitataki unload stuff and watched him unpack. Had lunch at the diner. Dropped himback off at school and mom and I left for Uniondale. We were running a bit late, but actually arrived at the same time as trippininabox. Cool. While mom checked in, I gave Joanne her birthday gift - Anne Taintor magnets, a soap rock, and a bag I'd been crocheting. I think she liked it ^^* Chatted in the hotel room a bit about what we'd both been up to while we waited for alorarose.
leggyslove - Guess what I saw on tv when I was in the hotel? Daisy Cooks! She was making empanadas. We were watching a cooking show and suddenly I was like, "hey... she looks familiar..." XD
A bit after that,alorarose arrived with her cousin. We chatted a wee bit and were generally indecisive before we finally left for the mall. Wandered there for a bit. They ate dinner - I was still feeling crappy. Had to say goodbye to Joanne - but she might be coming up for Serenity! YAY! Vaidah, Beka, and I went to see a movie.
Valiant was a cute movie. Disney's first CG film without Pixar, right? I think it's the first. Correct me if I'm wrong. Anyway. The animation was... good. Some of the stuff seemed a bit Toy Story era, as opposed to the gorgeous textures of Monsters, Inc or the smoothness of The Incredibles. Some of the models seemd a bit clunky. Uh.. but that's me being a CG geek. The story was pretty decent and I did enjoy the voice acting. Ewan McGregor and Ricky Gervais! What's not to love about that?
Went back to the hotel and loitered a bit. While looking for a bathroom, we found the pool area and one of the staff maintenance staff thought we were British. Uhm. Okay? Went back to the lobby to loiter some more. Then decided to go play pool in Bellmore (?). That was fun. I still really, really suck at it, but whatever. Got back to the hotel at about 1am. Heh.
Ate some cold Chinese take out my mom had ordered for dinner. Went to bed.
Woke up this morning and watched some tv. We were checked out by 10am. Drove home. Nothing exciting. Returned the rental car, picked up the dogs from the boarder's. Chatted withcassiejamie quickly before she had to leave for work. Skimmed a gazillion LJ entries. Read a few fics.
