Angel 5.01: Conviction
Oct. 1st, 2003 11:05 pmMeh. I'm actually too lazy to type a proper review, but here we go...
SPOILERS for ANGEL 5.01: "Conviction"

There was strange sense of cheesiness with this premiere. I did like the stunt sequences this time around, though in a few the double was glaringly obvious as was the wire work. I liked the twist on the same old "Angel saves the damsel and disappears with a cryptic message" scenario with the commandos swarming in and the signing of the legal documents was amusing. As were the PR people.
Angel's hair. Can we just deal with that please? It needs to be removed and burned. Or just hold a match to it, considering how much product there is.
Eve. I don't like her. She's bitchy in a not amusing way. Where's Lilah? I want Lilah back.
Angel needs to learn how to use a phone system. Then again, we'd lose the comedy points and the actual facial expressions.
Harm! Harmony! She brings so much brightness to the show. Fred used to. Willow did in the guest appearance. Harm serves the same purpose as Cordelia did in Season 1 Buffy - levity in the tense and serious situations.
Dixie Chicks poster. That is all.
Holden! I mean Knox. Knoxy. Heh. He's too nice, so
ozw speculates he's evil. Could be.. hope not. I like him.
Ever the superficial one, Angel has a happy over the pretty (and not so pretty) cars he has access to. Gods only know why he wanted that yellow one. Yellow. Ew.
Gunn becoming super lawyer was an unexpected development. And the suits need to develop themselves out of there because it's just weird.
I really don't think I have anything else interesting to say.
"The extra ingredient is otter!" - Harmony
"Righty ho!" - Harmony
"I have no problem with spanking men." - Angel
Hauser: You're just a little fairy.
Angel: I'm not little.
Preview for enxt week looks amusing. "I'm his date," would be the best line ever.
