stupid dial-up
Feb. 25th, 2003 11:18 amI wrote this giant thing as an addendum to this weekend's trauma. But my net connection crashed, then IE crashed. It was a fiasco. So, here are the highlights:
+ Father ripped out the hallway light to put in the basement because he was sick of hitting his head on the low hanging one down there (he was the only one having this problem)
+ Bought 4" recessed lighting. Cut the hole wrong, bent clip - swearing and blaming my brother.
+ Sent us to Home Depot (because he's a lazy ass) to buy "track lighting" - turns out he wanted a recessed light with bracket.
+ we had called to figure out exactly what he wanted - he yelles at my mother & my brother, calling them both stupid for not knowing what to buy.
+ he wanted the 6" instead of the 4" because it was $17 cheaper - nevermind uglier.
+ Sunday morning he goes to install light. Needs to cut bigger hole - uses a bread knife. Read again: bread knife. Does not compute.
+ his electrical work is shady
+ Instead of 5" flood bulb for recessed lighting, he decides to use 2" spiral bulb meant for other bedroom. It looks ugly and ridiculous. Ghetto.
*sigh*

Of course, I'm one of those people who refuses to pull plugs out of sockets until the sockets are turned off. I freak every time Mum does that in the kitchen. >_
