My own private hell....
Aug. 29th, 2001 11:35 pm...is class.
Nancy was kind enough to just go over the course outline and required materials and let us out early. No such luck with er.. whoever it is I have for Pre-Calc. I hate math and this guy made us stay for the whole class. Even reviewed stuff we were supposed to have learned in High School. He's giving us a test on Friday to see where we are. *gag* Well, at least I got Phil and Alex willing to help me out on the math end of things. Woo and hoo.
I forgot how crazy the Help Desk could be. I was stuck there for 5 hours today, from 2pm to 7pm. It pretty much sucked. People need to stop calling about stupid stuff like where the labs are and if I know a guy named Mike who works somewhere on campus. How the hell am I supposed to know that? ::rolls eyes::
Was chillin' by the cage a couple hours ago ('cause I am bored out of my mind) and these guys walked into the building. Apparently -- so Claire tells me -- one of them was "checking [me] out." Um... ::looks around:: Me? Er... *ahem* I didn't get a look at the kid, just that he had a blue jacket or something. ::shrug:: Whatever.
Oh, I gotta remember to stop saying "gay," as in "that's so gay." Claire is not appreciating that and it's offensive. So, I'll try to stop. Gonna have her hit me everytime I say it.
Tomorrow should be another fun-filled day. ::sigh:: Intro to the Earth at 10am, work from 12pm-3pm, and then Graphic Design & Publishing at 4pm. I'm hoping that I can find sometime to visit the poster sale thing at the Union tomorrow. If not, there's always Friday morning.
Ah yes, I should mention that I'll be going home Friday afternoon.. for my birthday and all. My b-day is actually Monday, but I've got classes then (even though it's Memorial Day and every other school has Monday off), so my mom wanted me to be home this weekend. It's cool, though, because now I can bring back all the stuff that I forgot like my movies and DDR.
Okay, time for bed... got another long day ahead of me tomorrow.

Date: 2001-08-30 01:52 am (UTC)I still say 'That is so gay' and I'm bi! Also, many friends of mine are gay... they don't care either. It's just a thing people are used to saying.

Date: 2001-08-30 08:04 pm (UTC)In France you have no help at all. You have to find everything by yourself, where to go, at which time and if you ask for help, people look at you like you're crazy and laugh loudly at the poor little freshman.
But it's not that bad and it gives you independence.
But in fact, being an au pair is kinda crazy too. With all the friends my kids have, I most of the times have around 7 kids to take care of at the same time. Where's my clone when I need it?
