I bought both of the tea blends I made at Adagio Teas and thought I'd post my review of them here on the LJ.. so at least I am using it?

This is my Covert Cocoa blend from Adagio Teas! It's a little tricky to brew maybe.

If you're planning to drink it without sugar or cream, I suggest 2 teaspoons for a 10oz cup, brew at 195F for 2 minutes. You'll get a nice, smooth cup of tea with a mint chocolate aroma. A little sugar will bring out the chocolate.

If you're planning on making a mug of hot cocoa tea, brew 2.5-3 teaspoons tea in 195F water for 3 minutes. Add sugar and cream to taste and you'll have a nice cup of chocolate. Yum!

As for the glass, I went to Teavana today to get one of their thick glass bistro mugs, but apparently they aren't carrying them anymore. Well, after staring at the shelves for a while, I decided to get the Joli Glass Infuser Mug. It was a bit more than I wanted to spend, but the reviews for it are good. It's a 10oz glass and I love being able to see my tea brewing, especially if I'm trying a new blend and I want to check steeping times. Overall, I like the glass, but I don’t like how hot the glass itself gets...obviously that's because it's a single walled mug.

I've been experimenting with making my own blends with Adagio Teas and I've finally worked out two of them! So excite! :D

Caramel Duchess is my attempt at remaking a blend from another company that my mother liked. I think mine is a bit better because it's not as citrusy.

Covert Cocoa was also an attempt to replicate a tea by a different company but it came out entirely different and I like mine so much better! All on its own, this one is a smooth black tea with a tiny hint of peppermint. Add a little sugar to bring out the mint. Add a bit more sugar and a splash of cream and you get an amazing cup of tea that's pretty much like a cup of hot cocoa.

And of course the labels I made myself with my own photographs. So... I kind of arted? The Covert Cocoa label is more like my usual artwork than the Caramel Duchess label, though.
