So, the point of this episode is to creep people out, right? Right. I don't like when they do that. Except the episodes usually turn out to be pretty awesome.
Creepy clown! Already, I dislike this freaky hotel.
Okay, really, this monologue they have in the beginning with Amy? I still don't like it. As much as I love both Rory & Amy, this show is not about them. It's not.
Aw man, creepy wall of fears.
Hahaha! Amy to Rory: "Did you just say, 'it's okay we're nice'?"
LMAO. Eleven is already scoping a new companion! "Amy, with regret, you're fired." Poor Amy. :P

"It looks like a 1980s hotel with bad dreams in the bedrooms." Yep, Doctor, totally.
"This is bad. At the moment I don’t know how bad, but certainly we’re three buses, a long walk and eight quid in a taxi from good."
Also, now with creepy dummies. YOU GUYS. Clowns and ventriloquist dummies! Do not want.
I would not bring crazycakes Joe with me. Mostly because he's bad for morale.

Rory: No, it's amazing you've come up with a theory even more insane than what's actually happening.

The manic running around hallways is funny for a second until you realize why the Doctor is running around the hallways...
Amy, you do realize that the Doctor has only been saving you and the other people he saves are just kind of... incidental? :\

Well, now you've gone and made me feel kind of bad for the Minotaur thing.

"We forgot that not all victories are about saving the universe." Rory's been getting great lines this season.
Eleven certainly does feel bad about screwing up Amy & Rory's life by bringing them along... even though seeing all of space and time is awesome. Which is why he won't stop.
Oh, Doctor, what is in your room? I suspect it's something about your death.
Aw, Rita! You'd have made a pretty amazing companion for sure. :(
HAH. The Minotaur is kicking Rory out because he has no faith? I mean... doesn't mean that he doesn't have faith in Amy? That sounds not right. Does Rory just go through life thinking, "Yeah whatever."? Actually, that sounds pretty good.
Oh. She's afraid of waiting forever. "I can’t save you from this. There’s nothing I can do to stop this. I stole your childhood and led you by the hand to your death. And the worst thing is I knew. I knew this would happen. This always happens.” Oh man, this is so sad, Eleven telling Amy to forget her faith in him. I know the Doctor lies to get things to turn out the way he wants, but I don't think he's lying about this. He wants Amy to go and live her life. D:
"An ancient creature, drenched in the blood of the innocent...drifting in space through an endless maze. For such a creature death would be a gift." That Minotaur was so not talking about itself, Doctor.
Whaaaaa! He is leaving Amy & Rory!! at least he got them parting gifts? A new house (with Tardis blue door!) and a new car! (Rory's favorite car... because he said it once and the Doctor remembered.. which is awesome).
That denim blue nail polish! I might even have it already!
At least Amy got to say a real proper goodbye - not like the other Companions that got kind of... dumped.
Rory: What happened? What's he doing?
Amy: He's saving us.

Date: 2011-10-03 08:28 pm (UTC)And some friends with a heavy background in Classic Who were thrilled that the plot conclusion lifted a similar incident from "The Curse of Fenric," where the Doctor had to deliberately destroy his companion's faith in him to draw out the monster.
