Seriously. Who is the freakin' DP on #VampireDiaries? In night scenes, everything is shadow & highlight. I can't tell what's going on.
@agibrahim I haven't really seen any of his other stuff. But #VampireDiaries is like a "how not to" exercise...
@agibrahim Hm. He was only the DP for half the episodes. All his eps are really dark though.

Hrm. okay, there have been a few DPs on #VampireDiaries and except for they Pilot, they're all keeping everything super-dark.
Crap. Nevermind. They were cinematographers who were directing. They weren't DPing. Ugh. SO DARK, SHOW.
I might possibly be making a film-nerdy pictorial to illustrate the annoying cinematography on Vampire Diaries.
@daveisadp I'm honestly starting to wonder if they were just using the practical lighting on set and not adding studio lights.
