I see Microsoft has rolled out Windows XP Service Pack 3.

Yeah. I think I'm going to opt out of it for now until more people have installed it and I can hear what's going on with it. Apparently, aside from all the updates since SP2, it's only four "minor" new features. Having read what those four are, I think I could do without them.

Meh. Stupid Windows.

The primary purpose is that it includes those 80-90 updates that you have to install every time you set up a new computer on SP2. For the home user, it's not such an issue. But when you work in IT it's really nice to be able to skip that step and reclaim that time.

Personally I suspect it's a way to sneak WGA onto computers who's owners have been avoiding it for whatever reason.

Yeah... I never installed WGA. Think I'll continue to skip this update.
