poll: third art show piece

Right. A poll. I need a bit of help deciding on the third submission piece for the Farpoint Art Show.

I have definitely decided on two already: Atene and Atropos II.

via the Farpoint site: Our convention emphasizes, but is not limited to, science fiction, fantasy, media and Trek.

So, I'm sort of aiming vaguely in that direction. I think all the pieces I'm thinking about below kind of float around there.

Now. Pick your favorite! :D If it helps at all, the pieces will 8x10 prints on matte photo paper mounted in an 11x14 mat and framed. I also plan on selling them at the show.

I like that one too, but the sources images came from a friend in college, so I didn't want to include it.

omg, I don't think I've really ever seen this much of your art. I fucking love it. I voted for Paleo because of it's tactile feel it conveys. I want to run my fingers over it. Also the colors, the play of light and sense of perspective intrigue me.

I liked Prospective best, but Bloody Flora would have been my second choice. They were all beautiful, but some were rather disturbing, although I suspect that was on purpose. "Blackened Heart" made me feel queasily like I was looking into internal organs. Way to get a visceral response to your art! (I'm not being sarcastic here, I think it was really good. Sometimes good art *is* disturbing...)

Thanks for the feedback :D Would it make you feel better to know that there are absolutely no internal organs used in the creation of Blackened Heart? ;) That is the feeling I wanted to create with it though.

Looked at them all. So much color, but vote for Blackened Heart because of the additional sense of texture and transparent depth.

I realize I could have been a little more in depth. They're all beautiful. I almost picked Midori, but Blackened Heart made me respond on a visceral as well as mental level. It has an organic quality that I referred to as texture. It's disturbing.

Like all the good stuff, it makes you open your inner eye and see.

I think that because it is that visually disturbing, Blackened Heart is often the piece that's... well, "not liked" is not exactly what I mean, but more shied away from?

If I could do second and third choices I'd have included Paleo and Blackened Heart, but Prospective looks very different when compared to the two you're taking and gives a better impression of your range.

I like the feel of Paleo.

I see a lot of people voted for Prospective... but somehow that was too "happy" for me.
