I have just returned from katkel's party with thebigfatman. OMG. It was really fun and I got to hear some interesting discussions....

There were a point where all the drinkers were off doing their thing and thebigfatman and I were hanging out on the couch and decided to turn on the TV to catch SGA. We were able to get through a little over half before katkel put in Gone With the Wind. I'll be watching the episode again with alorarose at some point this weekend, which is good because a) I couldn't really hear that well and b) I didn't see the end.

I have two non-spoilery things to say about this episode: Martin Gero, I love you. You write the best fanfic scripts. Martin Wood, I love you too.

I have one very vaguely spoilery thing to say about this episode: MEREDITH?! Oh. Em. Gee.

And now it is past time for bed.

I read somewhere that Meredith is actually an old Welsh name for males meaning "Protector of the Sea." Rodney has a similar meaning, I think. "Land near the sea," or something.

Not that he can't totally be made fun of for it.
