Aug. 18th, 2006 11:00 pmSTARGATE 200 YAY! :D OMG. So ridiculously excited over this.
Only caught part of the 10 year look back thingy, but...
Heeee! David Hewlett thanking them for putting him in 3 episodes. hehehehe.
"Mitchell has a catch phrase and it's, "what?" That's pretty much it, that's me." - Ben Browder
Yay Amanda for vocalizing the Orii/Fundamentalist comparison.
I love that Ben picked Vala first arriving through the Gate as his favorite moment.
YAY PRACTICAL JOKES! Eeeeee! They showed the practical joke from "Solitudes"!! HEeeeeee! I love you, Amanda Tapping.
I love the running gag of Gary Jones trying to get on the 200th episode XD Poor Gary.
Amanda Tapping's "and the men cheered and the women swooned and the children waved milticolored flags!" joke? I have no idea.
thebigfatman knows this joke and... I am supposed to have her tell me. (And she just told me the joke and it is so obscure and amusing XD Yay Amanda!)
Bwahahahahaha!! Michael Shanks counting Daniel's deaths! XD Oh man. Dude, you die on average once a season.
Ben Browder totally wins the stunt award! :D I mean, how much did he get beat up on Farscape? A whole lot.
Okay, I really have nothing intelligent to say, but it was a really great special and everyone was so, so cool.
During the special,
thebigfatman tried to pause the TV when she wanted to read me something XD Heeeeeeee! She is totally used to Stargates being on a DVD :x

WORMHOLE EXTREME! Mwahahahahahhaha!
Wait, wait. Where the hell was I when they met the FURLINGS? WTF. Oh, thank god. That was a joke. Oh. Em. Gee.
Hehehehee! They are reviewing the Wormhole Extreme script... like the real Air Force has a peek at the Stargate scripts. Sort of.
"Well, it certainly is packed full of jam." - Vala
I am in love with this episode already. Marty consulting them on the script.
Bwaahahahaha! Zombies!! Oh no! Walter got ate!! Hahahahhaaa! Cameron, I love you XD
Hahahaha!! And veiled reference to RDA leaving XD The main character backed out and you just need to replace him. And the face/body swapping reference!!
The invisibilty bit was funny :D
Hehehhee. Power outage for Cameron's big 200th trip through the Gate :D And they're all, "Carter, fix it... quickly...."
Bwahahaha! Arbitrary number picking! 38 seconds to dial the gate. Hahaha.
Marty: Whoa. That was awesome! Say that again!
Carter: No.
Bwahahahahahaa!!! Vala retelling the Wizard of Oz!! AHAHAHAHAHAHA! Cameron as the Scarecrow, Daniel as the Lion, and Teal'c as Tinman!
Oh, of course Siler has to go in there to cut the power! "Why does this always happen to me?" Why, indeed.
MWAHAHAHAHA!! STAR TREK PARODY!! OMG AWESOME. "Okay, one, that's Star Trek."
OH NO. Modern cast XD Hahahahahahaha.
FARSCAPE PARODY!!! OH MY GOD!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAH! Thor as Rygel!!! Teal'c as D'Argo! Vala as Aeryn. Daniel as Crichton! Bwaaaahhhh! And act 3 just ends.
OH NO! 9 months before Cameron was born XD Hahahaha! Jack O'Neill is his daddy! "Oh, I'm being punked aren't I?"
THUNDERBIRD PUPPETS! Bwahahahahahaha! And the Daniel puppet withthe whiteboard and the smeary writing!! "I"m the General, I want it to spin. Now!" Hahahaha! Their strings got cut and they DIED! XD
YAY JACK! "Are you kidding? It'll be in the commercial."
Hahahah Teal'c pitching his detective show. XD Hehehehehe
.. omg.. did Ben dye his hair darker? The hell?
"One last jaunt through the orifice." Buh??
OMG. A marriage. Sam is getting married to Jack!! Whaaaat?
Everyone going through the gate!! Haahahahahhahaa! The team and Jack and Walter and Landry all going through!! Awwwwww!
PETER DELUISE!!! :D And the poking at the real actors. I love it so much.
This was the GREATEST EPISODE EVER!

Weir wakes up in an institution outside of Washington DC. So... I remember when this was a Buffy episode. Okay, granted, Buffy was a whole lot more psychotic and violent when she found out, but I bet Weir is making her way there.
Heh. Also. Alan Ruck as the doctor. I remember him from Ferris Bueller's Day Off and Spin City.
Yay Jack!! :D Oh, hey. Scary head spazzing. That's not cool.
Oh! Weir flipping out and destroying things and getting so, so drugged.
Ah no! She was in a car with Simon and got in a car accident and killed Simon! omg. Aww! And we get to see her mom!
As it stands so far, this episode feels like one of those I won't really go back to so much. Like "Childhood's End," "Before I Sleep," and a couple in season 2 I can't recall right now.
But, see, at this point you are seeing very strange shadowy shapes and I sure as hell would be freaked out. Oh. Okay, scary visuals o_O
I like how the other patients are in more muted colors and Weir is in a bright blue robe.
Seriously, the visuals in this episode are freaking me out.
Heeee! Sedge! :D We love Torri's dog.
And, surprise, she really is in Atlantis and she's deathly ill. Once again, Carson and med staff can't do anything about some mysterious alien virus and Weir is stuck in a bubble.
Ah ha! Fall out from "Progeny." Interesting. The replicator nanites are trying to assimilate her body. The hell....
Heheheh! Poor John, trying to be profound and thoughtful and totally failing. Well, not totally as Elizabeth dumped the pills.
Oh no! The EMP totally didn't work and the Replicators are totally eating her brain!!
"Uh, reality check. There are microscopic robots in her brain!" - Rodney
Well... go Sheppard for believeing in her and go Weir for, you know, listening.
Oh man, he is so going to be the new Fifth, complete with crazy Weir fixation!
Awww! Sappy, sappy ending.
Are we angling this towards Sheppard/Weir? Because I am so not having that. Oh, hey, the watch! Did she say she had taken it with her as her personal item to Atlantis? Hrm.

Hmm, definitely gotta keep this one.

Date: 2006-08-19 03:26 am (UTC)As compared to the other Weir ep ("Before I Sleep"), I think BIS takes it for me. I actually really like that one, but then again that could be the nerdyiness over seeing the Ancients (and that Janus guy was kind of interesting). This one... eh. I suppose it was kind of Silent Hill-ish (in a PG13 sort of way), but outside of Buffy, didn't we already see this? Exchange psych ward for a Montana ranch.
But, see, at this point you are seeing very strange shadowy shapes and I sure as hell would be freaked out. Oh. Okay, scary visuals o_O
Shadowy shapes = Atlantis team trying to reach her? Rather cool, allbeit ironic.
Ah ha! Fall out from "Progeny." Interesting. The replicator nanites are trying to assimilater her body. The hell....
Maybe Rodney can reprogram them? Then we'd have Super!Weir? ;)
Oh man, he is so going to be the new Fifth, complete with crazy Weir fixation!
At least he's a little bit better looking than Fifth. :tries to look for bright side and fails miserably:
It's also not like Beckett can remove those things can he, unless they'll pass through her system somehow... but they're actually part of her system now, yes? The whole explanation seemed kind of vague to me. Probably so they can come back to it later.
Are we angling this towards Sheppard/Weir? Because I am so not having that.
Yeah. I could have done without that myself, but it seems there's a bit more of that this season, or is that just me? Whatever it is... meh. It did feel fairly anvilish in this one. I'm just so indifferent to the apparent canonical leanings. :hugs the fanfic a little closer:

Date: 2006-08-19 04:28 am (UTC)Oh yeah! I'd forgotten about that episode, which is odd because I really did like it. After so many scripts, I guess I can't really blame them for variations on a theme, but... meh.
Maybe Rodney can reprogram them? Then we'd have Super!Weir? ;)
Because Rodney would only reprogram them for good? o_O That could go very badly, actually XD
At least he's a little bit better looking than Fifth.
Just a tiny, tiny bit better. They both have stupid hair.
It's also not like Beckett can remove those things can he
That's another one of those things they never really tell us. I mean, what about the nanites that killed people in "Hot Zone"?
but it seems there's a bit more of that this season, or is that just me?
I hope it's not some sort of reaction to the McKay/Sheppard fans. I remember back in the day, Jack/Daniel slashers got in a fight -- a FIGHT -- with producers (it was... Malozzi? Or Mullie... someone) and suddenly they started amping up the Jack/Sam. So... who knows.

Date: 2006-08-19 05:05 am (UTC)Oh well. At least it's the Replicators, who were always creepy bastards when they want to be. A lot creepier than the Wraith imo. The Wraith *used* to get into folks heads and throw around shadowy phantoms of themselves... but no more. Sci-Fi is also probably glad about it, getting rid of the obviously alien space vampires and substituting them for much more humanlike nemeses (barring Michael & posse). Just like the Toasters rarely show up in BSG, now the Wraith are going bye bye. My guess is there's going to be some *real* enemy of my enemy is my friend scenario concocted between Atlanteans and Michael/the Wraith before the season is out or next season (if the show makes it that far).
Because Rodney would only reprogram them for good? o_O That could go very badly, actually XD
Very badly = turning into Horny!Weir and spending an entire ep having :cough:forced:cough: UST with Shep? That would classify as bad to me... or (if it's a *good* sort of "bad") going evil and taking over the city again. Then again, I'm shallow... bad ass Weir in "The Long Goodbye" was hot with that P90.
Just a tiny, tiny bit better. They both have stupid hair.
And I just figured out who Niam reminds me of... Derek Acorah from "Most Haunted". I do believe it is the hair.
That's another one of those things they never really tell us. I mean, what about the nanites that killed people in "Hot Zone"?
Of course... this is what happens when thought is actually put into SGA. They become as glaring as the slashiness.
So... who knows.
*sighs* Well, rather drole of them if that's the case... and screw that. But then I suppose a part of me always sensed they were trying to emulate Jack/Sam in Shep/Weir. Which just never interested me, thus why fanon is such a lovelier and cozier (NC17 & slashy) place.

Date: 2006-08-19 05:45 am (UTC)Crazy Emulators and their nanites. (Yes, I call them Emulators instead of Replicators.)
Speaking of which, I wonder if the anti-Replicator weapon from SG1 would work on the Emulators..
Jack had to get the knowledge to build that weapon from some specific part of the Ancient knowledge, right?
