work; con; sick; money

amezriThe week has been pretty uneventful so far. Work has been... well, work. I still dig the job, but all the research is starting to kill me.

thebigfatman & pgnblade came over to use the pool as it was omghot outside. What is with the weather this week? Yesterday I met them out and had dinner with my family at Applebee's. At some point this weekend (Sunday?) I'd gone over to their place and OD'ed on Kitchen Confidential (eh, it was Monday), which I am now making a quote icon set for.
The Jersey CreationCon is a-go. I'm contemplating doing some sort of Stargate related artwork for that, but I guess I should ask the people in charge and see what sort of gift giving is allowed. I am such an art whore. Oh well.
Speaking of cons, you kow what's funny? I still haven't posted photos from this past ICON or written a con report. I should get on that. The problem is, after my computer died last year, I lost all my Photoshop actions and haven't bothered to reduild them. I'm too lazy to resize and watermark all the images by hand. *sigh*
Yesterday I was feeling all crappy at work. I couldn't sit still and for anyone who works with me, you know how weird that is. Generally, I can sit there all day and pretty much not move aside from lunch. Yesterday I think I got up every hour just because I was so cranky and fidgety. Today I woke up kind of dizzy, as in the floor is tilty and if I turn my head a certain way, it feels like I'm going to fall over -- because the floor is tilting. It's fun. It can stop now. I've just called in to work and said I'd be late. I don't really want to take all my sick hours for this stupid thing, so I'm just shaving off a couple hours. Hopefully I'll be okay by then. Meh.
Well. I just effectively brought my bank account to its knees. I paid off my Chase card in full, about a third of my massive Capital One card debt, and $200 of my remaining hospital bill. Uhm. Go me? I mean, yeah, I still have money in the bank, but my account hasn't been that low since I was working at Departure. Maybe it's better just to pay off all that debt, though, instead of having all that interest screw me over. Yay, me?
Meh. I guess I shuld go get ready for work now.
