This week's challenge was to design a dress for Miss USA.

Uli's design was kind of similar to Keith's... but a different color :x Jeffrey's looked like it was ready to fall off her. Laura's wasn't really... it was meh. Vincent's dress was good aside from the crazy shoulder wing things.

Robert & Kayne. I don't even know what to say about those two working together XD But they might be the ones that cause the least drama this season XD

Angela is a total wackjob bitch and I am kind of annoyed that she stayed and Malan got kicked off. I was starting not dislike Malan as much and then he gets cut?! That wacky accent was half the fun of the show *pout*

ZOMG. WTF.

See, I loved Laura's dress as a dress, but I don't think it was right for a pageant. Ultimately, I think that may be her problem - that all her designs are based on what she wears.

Malan made me so sad. I just. *hands*

And I really just want Robert & Kayne to be total BFF and talk about men, fashion, pageants and Barbie over capuccino and Vogue.

Yeah, Laura made a nice dress, just not something for a pageant.

Heee! Robert&Kayne4evr! XD

I was watching this with Nyte (well, he was playing Gameboy and vaguely listening/looking over once in a while) and having a commentary with myself. I can't BELIEVE Malan was kicked. I realize that it wouldn't have been very good for someone to be kicked off for a design that wasn't their own, and while Vincent didn't know how to delegate at all, he did make awkward and infrequent attempts.

Yes, I love the wacky accent! So sad. I thought Malan's dress was a very interesting idea, but it needed a lot more working and a lot more time. It would have stood out at a pageant, in the same way Vincent's would have - it's just so different from the norm.

I thought Uli's dress made the model look like she was trying to hide something. But that could be just way she walked - with her stomach forward and her shoulders back. Laura's dress was pretty, but I agree - it belonged at a high school winter formal or a business holiday party, not a pageant. Kayne's dress was gorgeous - but the top didn't fit the model well. She needed more boobs or some straps.

And I can't believe I spent several evenings watching Project Runway.

I really liked how Miss USA defended Vincent's dress when Angela was standing there being a big cow. Because honetly, the dress was nice if he got right of the crazy shoulders -- not unlike his dress last week was nice, if not for the crazy hat.

Project Runway is awesome. Admit it, you love it ;)

Yes, I was all like, "Ooh, PWND!" She's right; it would stand out, because everyone else is picking really fancy, structured, detailed dresses and not the simple, clean, elegant lines that Vincent had going on - in the back, without the epaulets. But I don't think it would have won anything for her. She probably would have just come off as not being able to afford a nicer dress.

I love watching the clothes come together. It appeals to my inner Craftsmistress.
