This morning I got up really early to take the dogs to the vet for their annual heartworm test. Erm. Shao came back positive for lyme >_< At some point she'd gotten a tick, which we didn't see -- one of the techs there said it's possible as sometimes the ticks are really tiny and you wouldn't even know they were there. *sigh* So now Shao is on antibiotics for 30 days, but she'll always test positive for low-level lyme. I was thinking that perhaps my mother and I should get tested for lyme as well since the dogs sleeps with both of us and spends a lot of time clinging to people :x

After a little bit of yardwork, I did a lot of crafty things (photos later), including some stuffed... creatures and boxes for my Stikfas parts as well as my BPAL bottles. I think next lunar update I'm going to get a bottle of Snake Oil.

shoemaster and I had a chat on the phone later in the afternoon about the tragedy of X-Men 3. I haven't seen it yet, but have heard all about it. Totally not surprised at the lack of sense and storyline. Was rather surprised at certain elements of stupidity. Oh well. I knew we were going to lose, so *shrug*

Tomorrow, mom and I are going to NYC. Will be back on Monday. We'll be meeting up with lilorphanannie, her sister, cousin, and friend. Planning on going to the Sixth Avenue flea market, and maybe the Met, which is having a British Fashion exhibit. cassiejamie linked me to an article about Manhattan-henge, which I will definitely want to check out. 42nd is close to where we are staying. Before I leave on Monday, I want to check out the Build A Bear store. Shut up.

I have not read any LJ posts or fanfic or fandomy things for probably three days. I'm sort of scared to go and finally have a look. Anything interesting going on?

Packing would probably be a good thing to be doing right now.

British fashion? Expect lots of trainers, tracky bottoms, and highly dodgy items of gold jewellery. If none of those is there, then it ain't the current British fashion.

You didn't get Lyme titers when they did 9273947247 tests on you to see why you were sick?

I did! They were all clean. The dog only just got lyme in the last 6 months probably.
