Three Fates, a story by

auburnnothenna and

eretria, has eaten my brain and this is the mix I was compelled to make. It spans the whole story and hopefully conveys the emotions and mood therein.

Spoilers for the story below, obviously.

01. Nine Inch Nails - The Day the World Went Away
The sweetest price he'll have to pay / The day the whole world went away

The Doranda project goes horribly wrong; arriving in Atlantis 9,000 years in their past.

02. Jude - I Know
I know there's nowhere you can hide it / I know the feeling of alone / I know that you do not feel invited

The loneliness of three displaced people.

03. Milla - Rocket Collecting
Light up all the evil dreams / Till they ignite screaming into the night

Rodney is haunted by ghosts.

04. Joseph LoDuca - Dreamscape

John finds the control chair and interfaces with Atene.

05. K's Choice - Not An Addict (acoustic)
It's not a habit, it's cool, I feel alive / If you don't have it you're on the other side / I'm not an addict (maybe that's a lie)

Elizabeth questions John and Rodney and their interactions with Atene. They both brush her off, believing the AI is harmless.

06. Sarah McLachlan - Ice
Hours pass days pass time stands still / Light gets dark and darkness fills / My secret heart forbidden...

Elizabeth feels alone and isolated as she watched John & Rodney bond with each other and their connection with Atene.

07. Damien Rice - Delicate
We might kiss when we are alone / When nobody's watching / It's not that we're scared / It's just that it's delicate

John and Rodney.

08. Jem - Falling For You
I feel like I'm falling for you / But I'm scared to let go / I'm scared 'cause my heart has been hurt so / And I cannot take the pain again / If it all goes wrong

On Athos, after post-negotiation celebrations.

09. Kylie vs. Massive Attack - Slow Angel
Track in on this feeling / Pull focus close up you and me / Nobody's leaving / Skip a beat and move with my body / Yeah, slow / Come on and dance with me

They return to Atlantis and Elizabeth sees the change in John -- Atene is seductive, luring John away; changing him.

10. Curve - Forgotten Sanity

Atene uses John to stop Elizabeth from entering the memory core vault. John starts to wonder if something isn't right but can't or won't admit it.

11. Morcheeba - Almost Done
I'm almost done / This ain't no fun / I'm crying / I've been stuck inside your web / With my heart you're being fed / I've no guilt.

Preparing for their long sleep in the stasis pods. Elizabeth, however, has other plans in mind.

12. Evanescence - Eternal

Elizabeth sets her plan in motion with devastating consequences. John wakes one last time and sees what Elizabeth has done. Far in the future, the expedition team arrives and discovers Atlantis again.

13. Tom McRae - Human Remains
And strange how through time we look the same / Your eyes and mine looking away / Too scared to see human remains // Our history is just in our blood / And history like love is never enough / And I recognise so much of you / In these eyes always so blue

Major Sheppard, Dr. Weir, and Dr. McKay use the memory recording devices and download the information stored on them.

14. Dirty Vegas - Days Go By (Acoustic)
You are still a whisper on my lips / A feeling at my fingertips / That's pulling at my skin // Days go by and still I think of you / Days when I couldn't live my life without you

Coming to terms with memories of another life.

Comment when you take from the server! Right now the comment/download ratio does not compute -- 4 comments to 70 hits to the zip. The stats don't update right away, so I'm trying to keep track via comments.

If YSI tends to die out on you part way, try using YSIGet. You can resume and manage downloads and as far as I know it's spyware free (it's only 73kb).

Edit 4/3/06: Holy frack people. You must love the mix or something? ^^* Because both YSI links have died. I'm reuploading to YSI again as well as sendspace.

Edit 4/4/06: Third YSI has died and I kinda don't feel like uploading a fourth. I hope MU and spendspace will be sufficient...

Edit 4/10/06: Removed individual tracks and zip from server. Other links will stay as long as they stay.
