Mike sent me some old Radeon drivers from January 05. I'm going to uninstall what I have at some point next week and give it a try. I really hope it works. Otherwise I'm going to break things.

Also, I was starting to freak when I realized that no matter what time I set my clock to (usually 5 minutes faster than my cell) the time would always end up 5 minutes slower. This was before I figured out that XP syncs its clock with and internet clock. Heh. Freak out averted.

I should head to bed, but before a do, just another wee SGA rec: spring_1970 discusses the fact that SGA is populated with your ex-boyfriends.

It's not fic, it's more like character analysis. I think they're all spot on, but the Rodney one is most entertaining. The John one is just sort of sad and very much in character. Anyhow, go read.

Edit: This is frakking lame, but better than nothing. The US version of Touching Evil is being released on DVD. Except it's part of some "Brilliant but cancelled" DVD compilation and it will only be one episode of the series.

somehow, i still see myself marrying the rodney mckay. *shrug* i...i have no excuses. and apparently no backbone. *le sigh*

i said, in retrospect, that a carson-rodney blend would be perfect, but realized that upon trying to combine the genetic material, it would spontaneously implode. alas.


and um. TE? how can they only put in ONE episode? i don't remember there BEING any standalones...(i have no shame. i totally watched that show because the main dude played jarod's brother in Pretender) but maybe this will encourage the full release?

See, I couldn't even see myself dating a Rodney McKay. Friends, maybe, but to spend that much personal time with some one that abrasive? Meh.

I would, of course, totally go for a John, but would see it all ending the same exact way. Perhaps with more screaming on my part.

One episode of TE on a disk of old shows is just... wrong, man. We're never going to get the whole series on DVD. That makes me sad. I heart Jeffrey Donovan.

abrasive. hrm. true, yes, but i think (okay, i know) that i can give as good as i get most of the time. i just don't, because it's a waste of time, energy, and breath, and can get real nasty real quick. but with someone who that IS their way of relating to the world? not such an issue.

and yeah about a John. but then again, that's where my backbone issue comes in. because my patience with things such as relationships bleeds from ordinary patience with a difficult person right into being walked all over. i've gotten better at seeing the line, but as a reward, have collected more "difficult" friends. go me. i definitely would consider myself a glutton for punishment. apparently i don't want anything to be easy. if it were, i'd be so damn suspiscious i'd ruin it. hence my issue with dating a "nice" guy.

and hey, i'm still holding out that they'll release Prey on dvd. so don't lose hope! keep it strong, man!

Hey, I totally understand. The main reason I haven't dated anyone is that I am just so suspicious and irritated by everyone after a certain amount of exposure. I guess I'm sort of like Rodney that way... lol. Quick to judge, think most people are just too stupid to be bothered with, and get nasty really quick as well. Also? I have the whole socially retarded thing down.

Agreed. The only reason I could see myself even going for a John-type is basically that I'm lazy and a relationship with anyone as laid back as that would work for me for a while.

Except I lie because I have a friend who is totally lazy and cannot plan anything to save his life and it drives me nuts.

yeah, getting bored quickly is a problem. my only real boyfriend ended mostly because i only saw him every other weekend and i got bored. horrible to say, but true.

omg Invisible Man! the vincent love! and that one was actually really popular, so why that isn't on dvd is more surprising, perhaps, than the other two...
