work; scifi friday; blade
Jan. 14th, 2006 12:15 amWork was craptacular and the computer at worked decided it had a big hate-on for me as well. Five minutes after I'm left there on my own, the register decided that there was no register attached and wouldn't print a reciept or open the drawer. So I freaked a bit before finally just closing the gate and getting a Red Coat to watch the stuff out front while I ran to the backroom, fixed a few things, then came back to the shop.. where is still wasn't working. Shut the computer off, check the cables, turn back and and it's all fixed. Some other stuff went on and it seems next week I'll be working extra long hours. Joy.
Tonight's SG1, "Collateral Damage," was... predictable. But still enjoyable for the abundance of Cameron/Browder goodness. He's still very much like Crichton that it makes me miss Farscape liekwhoa. SGA was.. well, I've seen it before, of course, but "Epiphany" is still fun. Teyla? Is smart and they don't show it off as much as they could. BSG continues to blow my mind. I really need to get this series on DVD and catch up. Or rather, watch everything through because I've missed a lot of seaosn 1 and 2. I'm liking the later half of season 2 a lot so far and enjoy the side stories a lot.
On a mildly related note, I was flipping through the channels and Blade II was on TNT. Wow, what a craptacular film. That's not the point, really, since I knew that already. The point it not only is Norman Reedus in it, butCHAYA! Leonor Varela as well. Who, you know, I'd never had known pre-Atlantis, and she looks totally different in Blade than she did in SGA, but her speech patterns totally gave her away. Heh. If it weren't for Torri & Rachel's "Sanctuary" commentary, I wouldn't even like the woman, but I saw her and I was all, "squee! Leonor!"
Going to
queenmaab's tomorrow for movies and crafts. Well, Dead Like Me (and maybe Murder, She Wrote) and crafts. I have to remember to make a stop at Michael's to pick up some felt for my project. I hope they have tan :-P I was supposed to make a pattern for it tonight, but I didn't feel likeit, so I'll have to fake something tomorrow ^^*
Mmmkay. Off to bed. Hope everyone has a good night and a good Saturday!
