Cripes. How is it that fic writers can take Rodney McKay and turn him into a whiny, little girl? I mean, yes, Rodney will piss and moan about anything, but he does not break down and cry like some horrible romance novel bimbo. *head desk*

At yet, I'm still reading. I have some sort of fic reading disease, I tell you.

Oh, I know they do. It's just that I've consistently read such great writing in this fandom when I encounter something so horrible, I actually have to stop and scroll to the author's notes to check if it was a crack!fic that was written poorly on purpose.

It is! It's terrible! The worst part is when they have a clever plot or twist and it's totally ruined by their lack of writing talent. *cries*

I find it hard to stop reading half-way through, so I generally skim read to the end. Most of the time, the fic doesn't get any better.

I've noticed that. You know what I hate? When they have Rodney acting like a mood swinging woman. One moment he's yelling at someone, next he's kissing them and telling them he can't live without them. I'm not even talking just McShep. I've noticed it in McBeck too. I'm sorry, if Rodney is hurt by a statement, he isn't going to fuck the same man as soon as said man whips out his dick.... seriously... its really fucking annoying.

Yes! I just read a fic this morning and it was... ugh. Rodney was a big, whiny, teenage girl. Oy. And like... John basically rapes him. It was HORRIBLE!
