Long day.

Went and got rental van for to take brother to school. Dropped dogs off at boarder. Went to post office. Discovered torrents stop downloading when screensaver goes off. wtf?

Went to eye doctor. Optometrist seriously inept. Said my perscription had not really changed and new lenses woldn't make a difference. Excuse me, but I definitely noticed a difference. Feh. So will be getting new lenses in my old frames - transition lenses too! Nifty.

Ate lunch. Cleaned out Jeep Cherokee as it's now mine. Armor all'ed interior. Cleaned windows. Gave it a superficial wash. Put Earth Project patch and Atlantis Project patches on rear side windows. Have photos. Will upload eventually.

After dinner, am probably going to have mom redye my hair vampire red. Right now, I am going to crochet.

Seeing alorarose and trippininabox tomorrow! :D

You should disable your screensaver and just turn off your monitor when you're away from the computer. It saves both electricity and CPU resources. Plus, torrents continue to run happily (!).

I tried that, but when I lower the cover of the laptop to shut off the screen, the wireless decides to die for some reason. So now I just turn off the backlight of the screen. *shrug*

Very peculiar. I can't think of what would cause this other than if your laptop goes on automatic standby when closed. Are you on a router?

The backlight option sounds like a simple one. What torrent client are you running?

I finally just disabled my screensaver and that seems to have taken care of it :)

I don't seem to have a problem with ABC (Yet Another Bittorrent Client), so you might want to give it a shot.

If disabling your screensaver worked, however, perhaps the issue can be consider thus resolved. ^_~
