dlm; errands; gripe

amezriDisregarding the whole waiting to find out if I had to work today ordeal, today was a pretty good day. Once I found out I didn't have work, I spent some time trying to upload a file to megaupload and then downloading some other clips and things. cassiejamie and I watched the last three episodes of DLM season 1.
Ran some errands. Got gas. Went to the bank. Stopped at Blockbuster to pick up a copy of The Breakfast Club forqueenmaab and nearly picked up used copies of Blade: Trinity and The Notebook, but I was good and put them back. Drove to my old doctor's to get my last blood test results. Drove to Crossgates, where I met Matt & queenmaab for dinner before going to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. It seriously is just as good and cracked the second time around.
In other news, my mom said my father called and was weird on the phone.
Have work tomorrow. Very exciting. Not.
And now today's gripes:
My doctor. Is a pain in the ass. Apparently, getting a copy of all of my records is like pulling teeth. All I managed was the results of my last blood test. I have to get my current doctor to fax over a release form for them to provide anything else. My mother thinks it's because they're afraid they're going to be sued. Ugh.
The roundabout. In the Mohawk Commons, there used to be a roundabout/traffic circle near the part where the Blockbuster is. I liked it - I know how to use it. It also keeps traffic moving properly in that section. Apparently, other people aren't so smart as I've seen the roundabout sign hit numerous times. It's been a while since I've been over that way, so imagine my surprise when I discovered the whole roundabout had been ripped out and paved over. Now there's just this big paved area with no signage. Is this going to be free-for-all driving? And what retards screw up using a roundabout so badly that you cause the property owner to have it removed?! *sigh*
