Brain sort of mush. Skimmed the flist, but wasn't really able to understand most of the words. Not good. Anyway, if I missed anything important, let me know.
I meant to post last night before bed, but I was way too tired. We had a party at Bonnie's for Liz & Dean's 50th Anniversary and for Sharon's 50th birthday. It was a great party; Bonnie sure does know how to put a great event together. Had some interesting conversations and even got some recommendations to allergists. Heh. But the end of the night I was pretty out of it and just sat and listened to them talking before Berta & Steve decided it was time to go. I had car pooled with them to Bonnie's. Berta thinks next time I should bring poi :-P
Work today was interesting. I was completely out of it all morning and finally just told Bonnie that I had to leave. It was totally ridiculous for me to keep standing there staring blankly while people were talking to me. Everything was just way too bright. It's not really painful, but it's really hard to focus on anything in the light and it's much easier to see/read things in the shadows. Weird. My brain is all fuzzy like when you first wake up in the morning, except I'm walking around like that all day - not really physically tired, but my brain is 10 paces behind everything. Meh.
After I got home, I grabbed some lunch and watched "Farewell to Harry." Joe Flanigan is absolutely adorable in this. I love his facial expressions and the narration he does throughout. I love his voice. Not in a phonebook-reading way, but... I dunno. I just like his speech patterns. They make me happy. The movie itself was interesting - I liked the friendship that Nick developed with Harry. The costuming was great -- make-up even managed to tame Joe's hair! The scene where Nick confronts Harry about his illness was so stylistically different from the rest of the film that I was sort of wondering if maybe there was something wrong with my DVD. Actually, the one thing about the DVD that really annoyed me was that all the swear words were bleeped out. Who does that on a DVD release?! o_O At first I thought there was a glitch, but it kept happening over words like "fuck" and "hell" and whole phrases of yelling which I couldn't make out. Uhm, I sort of wanted to hear Joe say "fuck." ^^ Is that wrong? XD
Be outraged, America! First, they're going to take your visual porn. Next, they're going to demolish your homes to put up a Walmart. Joy of joys.
In other news, I've added the Tominated listing to Tomination. This is a fanlisting, but it's not an "approved" TheFanlistings.org fanlist -- not that I care. Anyway, all you Tominated folks, head on over and sign yourselves up. I'm not exactly pimping it officially yet as I'm too tired right now, but feel free to snag buttons and do some promotion.
I spend five hours on the above trying to get it to work, deleting databses, tweaking as much php as I knew how to... only to figure out after creating a new database that I had used the wrong database name the first time. *facepalm* Whatever. It works now. I hope. Let me know if you see anything funky.
Uhm. Off to bed now. Working all day in the morning. Then
queenmaab's on Sunday. Dunno what I'm bringing for food yet. Monday I managed to get off so I can clean the house.
jen_ella will be here Wednesday. Eep. Busy, busy week.
