sg:atlantis spoiler pondering
Apr. 4th, 2005 11:58 pmExisting character spoiler. Blah blah. I babble about something stupid.
Okay, so we all know he's going to come back because, well, Joe Flanigan! Obviously the Major survives and then... apparently... gets a field promotion and is now Lt. Col. John Sheppard. Uhm, not that I'm against the promotion, but "Lt. Col." is a bigger mouthful than "Major." Hell, I don't even want to spell the whole thing out. And then, of course, we loose all the fun things like Rodney snarking at him and calling him Major and the general referencing of John as "The Major," because that was sort of fun and I wanted it to last more than one season.
It's just.. meh. It sounds weird, actually. Like when Jack went from Col. O'Neill to General O'Neill. It sounded really.. off. Major Sheppard to Lt. Col. Sheppard... has too many syllables. I know, I'm weird. I'll get over it, I'm sure.
And none of this has anything to do with anything, so I'm going to bed.
