dear hostpc, I hate you
Nov. 4th, 2004 10:29 amThey've temporarily unsuspended my account so boss-man Joe can search for an e-mail I sent him two years ago. Good luck. They also requested that I rename or delete the file. What's sort of funny is that if I had just named the file something else to begin with, they never would have known. *sigh* I'm pretty sure that by the end of the month, I'm switching over to globat.com. Thy have a really nice hosting package for $100/yr and I guess I could afford it if I don't spend like anything for the next month. Then again, I could go back to making and selling bracelets...
aurey - I'm going to have to switch hosts for eternalvox.net, and so words-unspoken is going to shift also. Hostpc is pissing me off. I've backed up all your files and will retransfer them for you when I get new hosting. Uhm, but IM me because I forgot what password I gave you.
eibhinn - see above about hostpc pissing me off. The gallery is offline right now, but I'm going to reinstall it when I get my new host.
I can't really afford the switch right now, but I think in the long run it will be better and way less aggravating. globat.com is highly recommended from two people.
alorarose - you can create ftp user accounts, right? So other people can have their own folder and user/pass for hosting?
Meh. I changed the name of the formmail on my other server.
Anyone who writes script - Opinion: formmail.pl VS formm@iler.php - which is more secure? The perl script I have has the addresses hardcoded into the perl script so they don't show on the html and I also have the option of using different aliases to specific different contact address in the same script.
