Ashlee on SNL

So.. I'm watching her first performance on SNL. There is clearly a backing vocal track for the first 5 seconds of the song, but it fades and Ashlee is actually singing. Or at least if she's lip-syncing, it's a different version than what's on her CD and there are intentional areas where her vocals are weak. In the second that got screwed up, those are backing vocals for "Pieces of Me." Take that how you will. Though I agree that the blaming of her band was distasteful. Though. I dunno. The cast seemed really nice to her afterwards during the creadits. *shrug*

Also.. wtf? When did Jimmy fallon leave SNL?! Weekend Update is totally not the same without him. Though.. okay.. Amy Pohler is funny. Aww... Tina Fey said hi to Jimmy XD

The Bush/Blair skit is awesome. "Tyranizers" and "nucular" XD Ahahahahaha!

That was the second round of blame. At the end of SNL, she tried to blame the band. Then at the music awards, she blamed it on acid reflux.

Blaming the band was totally uncalled for, and THEN she had the audacity to announce last night at the music awards that the reason she had her vocals pre-recorded was because she had acid reflux and couldn't sing. I'm sorry, but that offends me as a former singer: acid reflux, as much as it might burn and annoy the hell out of you, doesn't HINDER your ability to sing. Unless of course, you have gas on top of it, which would make you blech at inopportune moments.

But please.

You didn't know Jimmy Fallon had left? Where have you been? :) His last weekend update, he KEPT HIS PENCIL instead of throwing it. I was like, Awww...

The weird thing about the acid reflux excuse is that of all the things to pick.. acid reflux?! It's almost so bizzare that I'd believe it. Almost.
