Moulton woman says she lost job for sporting Kerry sticker on car
"I asked him if I was fired and he told me he was thinking about it," she said. "I said, 'Well, am I fired?' He hollered and said, 'Get out of here and shut the door.' "
She said her manager was standing in another room and she asked him if that meant for her to go back to work or go home. The manager told her to go back to work, but he came back a few minutes later and said, " 'I reckon you're fired. You could either work for him or John Kerry,' " Gobbell said.
In other news, I feel my room is now 95% cleaned and organized. Things are mostly away and I have a floor!! I don't think I've had a real floor in years, like, you could fit a twin sized mattress in the space I have now. There are only a few more things in my brother's old room that I need to get put away, but I think I'll be putting those in the basement. In the hallway I've got two boxes of things going to the library or Salvo's. Uhm.. apparently Good Will doesn't take toys?! wtf?? Might try to sell magazine and comic lots on eBay.
Applied for four job today - a couple graphic design ones, a help desk opening, and one for data entry. My mom showed me an ad for this place called the Cambridge Technical Institute (at least, that's what it said on their machine). I don't really know what the job is, except for data entry and that you need to hae a computer with internet access, so I'm guessing it's a work at home kind of deal. I did a search online for their phone number and there were over 250 job postings with the same description, phone number, and extention. Seems a bit shady, but I guess I'll give it a try.. *shrug*
Got all excited when my father went downstairs after dinner and opened the garage - I thought he was leaving for the week. Turns out he was just outside having a smoke and using our flower beds as an ashtray.
