Important info for people who post images in their journals or in communities (via ewan_daily):

A random image generator has been created that uses the 'latest posted images' source feed from LJ to post your images to any webpage that uses the script online. This could mean your images are being hotlinked (and therefore your bandwidth sapped) and also, for those of you that post personal images etc in your own journals, those could be displayed elsewhere. The script only calls up publicly-posted images, but please read, just to be on the safe side.

Here's how to opt out of the latest images feed.

+ For personal journals
1) Go to Admin Console.
2) Enter the following command: set latest_optout yes

+ For community journals
1) Login as the community maintainer
2) Go to Admin Console.
3) Enter the following command: set for community_name latest_optout yes

I've just discovered [Z-Cult FM]. Yes, I'm slow. But now I can download comics! Wheee! And I've got CDisplay so I can read them without unzipping the files. Woot. Right now I'm getting Battle Royale and XMen Mangaverse. Astonishing X-Men is waiting for me.

Uhm. But I need to clean out harddrive space so I can download tonight's Dead Like Me premiere when the torrent goes up. Hrm. Good thing I've burned those copies of Lost for myself and corngirl_jo. I'll test both sets of discs and just delete them for more space. Yays.

Things I should probably do today:

+ Finish the RettzDesigns site
+ Finish the signalroom site
+ post the only fic entry we have to White Trash Beautiful
+ Make ronniefaerie's bracelets

crushw_eyeliner - there's a bounced e-mail in the tomination inbox. Not sure when it was sent...

Does it really have to be Sunday? I'm not excited about going back to work tomorrow.

Okay, in English, what does this image feed shit mean? Does it just relate to people who will use Lj's up and coming image-hosting site, or what?

Basically what it does is go through all the recent LJ posts and shows all of the images users have posted. (I think.) I don't know LJ thought this was a neat idea, but someone decided it would be a fantastic idea if they wrote a script you can run for your own site and show all the latest images from LJ. So, now not only is your bandwidth getting used from your posting, but hundreds of other people randomly harvesting images that you posted and hotlinking them.

Was that still a bit too technical?

Good question. I belive it only takes images from public posts. But, can't hurt to run the opt_out command anyway.

Nope, haven't seen the movie, but the book looked interesting. Figured I'd give the manga a shot.

Mangaverse X-Men looked a bit strange from the previews, so I figured I'd download for free and not pay :P
