There are probably typos because I'm hungry and I'm in a rush to go get a snack.

[edit: "Hellbound" vs. "Hell Bound"? Uhm... I'm gonna stick with "Hellbound," which got the most hits on Google.

This episode was rated TV-14 DLSV - which, really, TV-14 DLV would have been okay. Seriously, the brief Spike nudity here was nothing compared to the soft core porn that was Season 6 Spuffy.

I'm really loving the Spike/Fred dynamic, but not in that relationship way. They make good friends. Like.. Buffy & Willow. Or something. I dunno. Loved when she knew he was there, but kinda screamed in that non-convincing way and dropped her papers just to make him feel better. While we're on that scene, can someone explain why Spike, who for the last few episodes couldn't touch anything, but he's okay with standing on the ground. He can fall through the floor, but then splats soundly on the ground. If he was really incorporeal shouldn't he have just gone all the way through? Meh.

Spike is so jealous of Angel's potential Shanshu. Well, maybe not. LOL

When Spike splatted in the basement, the first thing I thought was that that's where the Beast or whatever killed everyone. But then I remember that it killed people all over the building XD And then zombified them. Hahahah. But all the creepy dead people was sorta "Resident Evil" and "House On Haunted Hill." The guy with the cut-up face cutting off his own fingers with a knife was creepy. And the lady with no arms. That was good. The chick with the glass in her eye wasn't as bad. I mostly just wanted her to take it out of her face 'cause it was making my eye itch.

Fred & Wes still amuse me. And they should still get together. I love those two together. Wes can get super-rare mystical items in less than an hour? Wow. Giles should have headed and evil research department. And he does it in trade for Fred getting dinner 'cause she's been all busy with work and not taking care of herself. Awww!

Of course then, we have Eve dragging Fred into a meeting with Angel to put the smack down on the lab spending, which is apparently $800K over budget. Once Angel finds out it's to help Spike... he gets super defensive and Fred does a good job of sticking up for herself and pointing out that, yes, Spike is hot, but whatever. She is just trying to do the right thing. Yay Fred! The Buffy digs were also nice *eg*

Spike's starting to go a bit wacky down there in the basement by himself. All bravado aside, Spikey's afraid of the dark! XD So he goes to Angel's office to get a bit of company. Once of the best Spike/Angel scenes, okay, so far this season. The trading insults was great - nearly better than S2!Spike and Angelus. Angel's so pissy and pessimistic. He doesn't believe in Shanshu and knows that no matter what he's going to hell. He just saves people because he doesn't have anything better to do. Gee. Thanks, Angel.

Again, non-corporeal being! Walks through walls, but can sit his ass in a chair. That kinda thing annoys the crap out of me. This is why floaty ghosts creepy me out more. They make more sense logically.

Reaper/Dark-Soul/creepy guy phases Spike out of everyone's sight and the only name Spike's calling out is Fred's. Why? No, he's not smitten. Really. Fred is the only one who has, thus far, shown any sort of interest in his well being. So it makes sense he'd call after her. Even if Angel had heard him, he might have ignored Spike anyway :-P

Throw away joke: Spike appears in the bathroom and makes fun of Gunn! *teehee*

Spike thanking Fred for helping him was really touching. Too bad she couldn't hear a word of it.

The trippie-hippie psychic medium was a kick. She was pushy, but funny. I'm sad that she's dead.We need more snarky bitch on this show now that Lilah's gone ;_;

Gratuitous horror flic shower scene! Doesn't Fred have a private bath or does she really live in the lab? Because that's just sad. Fred, honey, go home. I really thought Spike was going to perv on Fred in the shower. He doesn't. Instead he's all sad and broody and figures out he can affect material objects. And writes "reaper" on the shower door. Just as Fred reads it, the Reaper cracks the glass and bitch slaps Spike through the wall.

Was I the only one who thought the Reaper/Pavayne looked like Holtz? Because it looks like someone stole someone else's wardrobe. Anyway, so the guy is a doctor who killed all his patients with silly operations. Lovely. Wolfram & Hart used his blood to deconsecrate the ground the current building stand on as it was originally a mission. Even better.

Spike tries to defend Fred! Sort of. I mean, he takes a swing at Pavayne who is staring at Fred talking about how juicy she is. Heh.

Gunn has an in at the firm. Really. Who else could go into the White Room and ask for some interdimensional spooge... and get it.

Yay Spike for finally figuring out the materialization thing and kicking the Reaper's ass for a little bit. Heh. The end was kind of.. not shocking. Reaper has Fred by the throat and makes choose between getting his body back or saving Fred - Spike chooses Fred. After the Buffy finale, I'm completely unsurprised by his choice. He probably figures all the weird fading and getting sucked into hell was due to Pavayne and if he gets rid of him, he'll be okay for a little while.

The second to last scene with Fred and Spike was great. Fred's the only one who wants to help him and thinks he's worth the effort. What he did to save her proves it. He blew his once chance to get his body back. Spike's grateful and tries to make her feel a little better by showing her that he's learned to manipulte physical objects, and hey - he's got all this space. Aww.. Spike needs a hug.

Wolfram & Hart is now keeping Pavayne locked up in a box forever. He's got a little tiny window he can look through, but he's pretty much immobilized. Do you have any idea how insane he's going to be if he gets out or dies? If he dies and his soul is roaming around the building again.. eesh. Angel's vicious. Actually, they've all had to become a bit vicious, haven't they? Just to survive.

"What do you think I am, stupid? I'm not some idiot school girl with a crush." - Fred

"And the hair - what color do they call that? Radioactive?" - Angel to Spike

Angel: I never told anyone this, but I liked your poems.
Spike: You like Barry Manilow.

"Is this the part where I say 'who's there?' and something creepy happens?" - Spike

Fred: It's Hell. He's slipping into Hell. [dramatic camara zoom]
Gunn: Kinda figured.
Wesley: Of course.
Gunn: Where else would he go?

"I ran out of white board. I'm not crazy.... again." - Fred

"And guess what I want to do, you prissy son of a bitch!" - Spike

Angel: It talks? I didn't hear anything.
Gunn: Maybe you weren't listening right.

What medium? Did I blink and miss her? o.0

And when was that scene with Gunn in the bathroom? Did I blink and miss that, too??

The medium was the blonde chick in red who was holding the seance to try to contact Spike. Then Pavayne killed her.

There was no actual scene in the bathroom, just Gunn saying "Next thing you know, he'll be popping up in the bathroom making fun of you while you.... Am I the only one he does that to?" or something to that effect ^^*

My rationalization: He can stand on the floor. He can't touch anything *but* the floor. He fell through the floor because he was leaning on a desk...which he cannot touch. So, he fell through it all the way. Though it would make more sense if he landed on the floor but still being through the table. But I dunno. I'm just trying to rationalize so I can be happy with it, hehe. But yea, I don't know how he can sit in a chair but cannot lean on a desk.

I like Spike and Fred together too.

Is Fred gonna have an eating disorder episode? Hehe.

Must download 5x05 promo.
