What the flying frell happened to Uncanny X-Men? Most of the issues from 411 - 420 look like weird Japanese artwork. Have a look.

Not that I don't like the style - I do. It's just sort of weird to see these characters you've known change in ways.. you didn't really want. It's visually unsettling. Uncanny 417 looks like box art for GoGaiGar for cryin' out loud. Though, the Dominant Species arc looks interesting. Will perhaps look into picking it up.

And with that geeky post, I'm going to bed.

I hate it. I don't like that flavour in my Marvel comic, no no no. *grumbles* I mean, making an alternate title and doing that style, I'd be cool with it but this... *whimpers*

I know, dude. It's just weird an wrong to have Marvel manga. You'd think they would have learned after the "mangaverse" fiasco. That was so horrible.

Is that they don't do it well. It's so obviously whitebread trying to do anime/manga, ya know? If they did a decent job on the cover art maybe I wouldn't mind, but it's just badly done.

I miss the western art in a western comic. There's nothing wrong with being American flavoured damn it! It's what made it so great!

EXACTLY!! The one time I liked it was when Yoshitaka Amano illustrated The Redeemer, a Wolvie & Elektra mini. Very lovely work.
