Discovered that cameras and cd players are now suspected terrorist weapons. WTF?! I will be extremely pissed if my new, expensive camera is a) confiscated or b) dismantled. Actually, I'll be more distressed if they take my CD player because what the hell am I going to do on the plane for 25 hours without music?! I shall sing to myself and go insane, is what.

Cameras, huh? Beautiful. I wonder what they're going to use as guidelines to dismantle one, and if they'll repay you for it when they realize how stupid they were.

no word on guidelines. My friend said his cd player and $600 digital camera thoroughly checked, but returned unharmed.

My guess is that if they dismantle it and find nothing - you won't be reimbursed. It's the same if they cut open your shoes suspecting a bomb in the heel. It's all for the good of the passengers, so fuck you and your belongings. *frowl* There must be a better system.
