Eeek! Shooting! Mom & Daughter shooting at each other!
And whisk! Five days earlier... Sydney finds out about her mom's betrayal, then sulks in Irina's prison. Dixon, now part of the CIA (eh?) stops in to see how Syd's doing. Syd gives another grand speech about how disappointed she is and how she thought her mother was dead - and now she wished she was.
Did Sloane just call Irina Laura?! And Irinia really, really hates that Sloane is all Sydney-friendly.
Damn. Jack is a sneaky bastard. He removed the first tracking device and implanted another during, uhm, FirstGen!SpySex. Right then.
Aw, poor Vaughn, got busted and his security clearance got down-graded. Though, yay for Jack putting in a good word for him.
Oooh.. pissing match between Jack & Kendall. Jack would kick Kendall's ass.
Poor Marshall.. getting yelled out for.. everything. heh.
Oh... that look on Sark's face as Irina ripped open her shirt - priceless. Note to self: If I'm ever passively tracked, just shock myself. Apparently, I'll be totally fine afterwards.
EEE!! ABC hallway! ^___^ EEE!! Stairwell!! And during the fight scene between Vaughn & Sark! We were standing out in the hallway as they were blocking that.. possibly shooting, I'm not sure. Ahhh! Sark shot Vaughn! And eeee! We were so there when they blocked and shot the scene. Except the shot we saw of Sark and Syd in the back didn't seem to make the final cut. Oh well.. we were there! ^__^ ::remembers Michael Vartan in the bulletproof vest and windbreaker:: *dies*
So... I'm thinking that maybe Irina is still on their side as she purposely lured them out of the building. And yay to Marshall for picking it up! And Jack's, "Irinia might have wanted to save Sydney's life."
Francie got Vaughn a present? Hrm. Odd. Of course, I'm sure the tie is bugged. I think Sydney's starting to suspect something, what with the odd, suspicious look that she gave Evil!Francie when she said she didn't remember the quarterback she dated in college. Because, hello, that was probaby 5 years ago and how would you not remember? Also, shame on you, Syd, for not having bought anything for Vaughn yet. He's gotten you gifts, saved your life, and you give him nothing? Tsk tsk.
The first thing Syd says when she sees Emily: "I spoke at your funeral." Uhm. Wow. I'm glad Emily can see through all his lies and manipulations. I knew I liked her for a reason. In exchange for finding Sloane, Emily asks that Sloane doesn't get the death penalty. Meanwhile, Sloane calls Irina and tells her that he wants to be bought out. Back at the CIA, Emily signs the papers and apologizes to Sydney.
Showdown. The taskforce surrounds the mansion with Dixon set in a sniper position on a hill. They wait for Emily's signal before they move in. Unfortunately, Emily breaks down and shows Sloane the wire. He forgives her and asks her to go with him. She hesitates, but agrees and just as the CIA taskforce busts in, they run out a secret passage. Sydney follows; Irina and Sydney exchange shots. Syd freezes for a second as Spy!Mommy glances down at her.. then promptly shoots her in the shoulder so she drops the disk. I suspect that maybe there was something in the specific way that Irina paused. *shrug*
Eeek! Dixon missed and killed Emily! How did I know that taking out Sloane wouldn't be that simple? Irina drags Sloane to the chopper, informing Sark that they didn't get the disk. Meanwhile, Sydney cries over Emily's body (with what looks like a shoulder wound, but I can only imagine that the bullet had angled up), and Dixon develops another complex.
End scene with Sydney and Vaughn? Precious. The part with Irina's earrings being a transmitter that the CIA supposedly checked? Brilliant. Also makes you wonder how good all that CIA tech really is. I'm glad that Sydney, no matter how much she says she hates her mother, decided to keep those earrings. One thing though: if that message was "encrypted," how did Syd know how to decrypt it so fast?
