amezriI get back to school a week early for Help Desk traning. This is not new. I've done it for the past two years. And every year, I've gotten to move into my building a week early and setup all my stuff. But not this year. Why?! Because they freakin' hate us! Get this:
You will need to be here on Saturday, August 17th to move your things into your regular residence hall room - AND YOU MUST DO THAT BETWEEN 1pm and 3pm ONLY!!!! You can only drop off your things; you can't actually unpack or set things up - you can just grab the linens you will need and leave because --
You must also check into Golding on that same day between 1pm and 3pm ONLY!!! Again, let me state that you must supply the linens you need in Golding!!
All students living on campus will be staying in Golding until Wednesday, the 21st of August, when you will have an hour and a half between 9am and 10:30am to check out of Golding and into your actual dorm room!! Since you will also be in training later that day, it will not be possible for you to set your dorm room up at this time. You can begin setting it up after training that day, but at least you’ll be able to check in in the morning. I’m checking with Steve right now about the food situation, but you can pretty much figure that food will not be supplied for that Saturday or Sunday, until dinner on Sunday - so be prepared. I think we are supplying food for the week of training, but I need to get back to you on that once I talk to Steve.
So.. let me get this straight. I can't set up my stuff. I won't have my TV or computer until Wednesday - a day which I will have to be checked out by 10:30am and not even allowed to do anything because I have yet more training?! And maybe I'll have food for the week?! This is just utterly fucked. Why the hell do we have to move into Golding for 5 days?!
