I made another batch of Anzac bikkies with the recipe Sezza gave me last month. That's three batches and every single one has been different. I followed the ingredients exactly today and they were totally different from the first batch I made a few weeks ago... I can't do baked goods apparently.

I want the pictures used in this gif and any other that are similar. I don't know why.. but I just want them. Feed me!!

(snerched from a post in buhfly's LJ

Also, I love [livejournal.com profile] soulstar! She went to Chariots of War IV this past weekend and got me something signed by Hudson Leick! *squee!!* Hudson rocks! Soul' is a rock star! *hugs* She mentioned that Hudson tried out for the part of Harley Quinn in the new Batman spin off, "Birds of Prey," but didn't get it. Apparently the producers toned Harley down, so Hudson was too over the top for them. Pfft. Harley must be over the top. How can you "tone down" Harley? That's just.. wrong...

In other news... Jen may be my sewing hero. *g*

The pics from were on the ewan_daily community awhile back. Sorry I can't be of more help.

*squeak* Harley Quinn's in Birds of Prey? *blinks* But...toned down? Does not compute.

I miss seeing Hudson on tv. Random, I know, but true.

I miss Hudson, too.

Hudson as Harley was their only hope of me watching Birds of Prey. (Ah, who am I kidding? I'll watch anyway...) Though the concept is kinda silly - Batman & Catwoman have a daughter who seems like she's superhuman. Um. Right...

I'll watch anyway. But Hudson would have really been a reason to watch.

Oh, I know. That does seem silly. If just, they h ave a daughter and the daughter's agile and such like them, that works.

But superhuman. No.

I did enjoy the birds of prey comics, so part of my reason for watching the show. At least some.

I have the picture of the boys in the bathroom if you want a copy. I also had the one in bed but can't find it at the moment.

Let me know.

LOL! Dude, I didn't realise you liked them THAT much. *giggle* So, now comes the all-important question...

Which was better - Anzac bikkies, or Tim Tams? ^_^

Yeah, I like them and they're *very* easy to make ^_^ If only they would come out consistently...

Hmm.. Tim Tams are better, but I can make something close to Anzac bikkies at home :D

Ah, but like anything in baking, it takes a few tries to get it just how you like it, and get it consistent. ^_^

That's at least ONE thing that Mum has managed to teach me in cooking. *g*

btw, next time I send you a package, did you want any more Tim Tams??

ooooh! Tim Tams! ^_^ You temptress! hehehe

You can take that as a yes... *g*

There has got to be something else here that we have and you don't. I'll have to pay more attention in the store ^_^

Oh I know! I know!

I would love you forever and ever and ever, and be your slave eternally if you could please send me...

Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, I think they're called???

I have heard about these, they sound VERY yummy... but we have NOTHING like that out here. Peanut Brittle is about the only thing... LOL but it's hard enough that if you bite into it, you could break a tooth. ;)

I'm also thinking about what else to send... golden syrup? I was told you guys don't have the ridgey-didge stuff over there! Ack!

You don't have Peanut Butter Cups?! That's a crime! I will *definitely* have to send you some then. Maybe throw in some mini peanut butter cups and Reese's Pieces, too (sort of like peanut butter M&Ms).

What exactly is golden syrup? :-/

LMAO!! Funny you should say that... I was discussing with Ray yesterday about what stuff to send you... he suggested the following: Anzac bikkies, Vegemite, Iced Vo-Vo's, Pav egg, Lolly Gobble Bliss Bombs and Nutella. I, quite disbelievingly, asked "They don't have ANY of those?! What kind of lives are these people living?!?!" *giggle*

Yes, I also feel it's a crime you've missed out on half the incredibly nummy Australasian delights that exist... ;)

Golden syrup is... it's hard to explain. I'll try now, but I'll probably have to get a better explanation off mum. It's like a honey... but not. It's actually a syrup. It's one of the main ingredients in Anzac bikkies. Those ones I sent you? That sweet, strong taste in them is mostly the golden syrup. It is sooooo yummy. Especially when poured on top of crumpets and melted butter... *dies* And if you tell me you've never had crumpets, I'm going to have to pay for your plane ticket out here myself. ;)

Iced Vo-Vo's...? Um.. hmm... And we do have Nutella. I just bought a jar today at the store. Mm.. Nutella. hehehe

If golden syrup is important to Anzac bikkies, then that's probably why mine don't taste quite right. That and, you know, I can't bake :-P

Have crumpets here... haven't had any.

Iced Vo-Vo's... soooo yummy. Biscuit. Then it has sort of this crumbly, sweet strawberry-ish frosting on top, with a strip of strawberry jam down the middle, and the entire top covered in coconut. YUM-MO!!

oh, and you don't like coconut, was that right? Mum said "Tsk, tsk! The coconut is very important to the Anzac biscuits." ^_^ Sorry, I didn't know that, otherwise I woulda said something sooner. *g*

Nutella is delicious. As good as Tim Tams... mmm... Tim Tams. Damn you! I'm stuck at home with nothing to eat, I'm STARVING because I haven't had lunch yet, and here we are talking all types of sinful delights! *whimper*

Crumpets are absolutely devine as soon as you've toasted them, then put some peanut butter on and let it melt... Guuuuhhh... yummy. Same goes for raisin toast/fruit loaf. ^_^

Sweety, you aren't on AIM? *sniffle*

Coconut - I like 'em okay as long as they are pretty well integrated into the recipe. I don't like the texture too much.

Nutella - soooo yummy!
