Last post was Friends Only. More twistedness that has me thinking about getting a security detail together.

We got the E: drive to read. I kinda knocked the IDE cable loose installing the new fan. Oops. We need some sort of wire to connect the CD-ROM to the motherboard. And.. uh.. something inside is going "clunk." That.. can't be good.

Gotta do more cleaning today. Juh-oy.

Oh, that happened to me when I got a new power source put in. Much fiddling was needed to get it all reconnected. Should have done it myself to begin with ;-) Clunking's not good, though. Eeep!

My brother assures me that the clunking is just the AMD processor "speeding up." Um... sure it is. *snerk*

*blinks* Riiiiiiight. Getting it's revs up like a car, huh? LOL. In my experience, clunking is often fan-related. But my experience isn't vastly wide-ranging. *g*

I think I figured it out. It's actually the hard drive powering up from power save mode. Turned that stupid thing off.

Ohhhhh, yeah. My experience has encountered that, too. It just forgot to remind me. Or something. It was a while ago. *g* So all is looking / sounding good now?

I hope so... if not, it's just one of my old hard drives. Nothing really important on it :-D
