Rewind..
My brother and I went to see "Black Hawk Down." It was pretty good, very real. Very visceral. I have a review up at Monkey Crack. Hm.. speaking of, I really should update that thing more often.
We go to CompUSA so he can get a replacement floppy drive and I check out the monitors. I now have no idea what I want. A regular CRT would be good enough, but then a flat screen would kick ass. Now, the Sony LCD flat panels are almost as good as the Samsung flat screens display-wise, so I'm really tempted to get one of those. Of course, I really only realistically have money for a regular CRT, maybe a flat screen if I get the Samsung. My grandfather, meanwhile, is telling me I should get the Sony LCD flat panel. My mom says it's up to me, but oh doesn't this LCD look good. Argh. I decided to check the 'Net a bit before I make a decision.
So I get home and install the new fan for the new old machine. Works as far as I can tell. But the secondary has once again disappeared and the CD player doesn't um.. produce sound when you play a CD. My brother no longer gives a shit and just shuffles his feet and walks away. Fan-bloody-tastic.
I'm going to attempt to fix these stupid issues then I have to wash the dishes and do laundry. Doesn't my evening sound fun? >_
