Nov. 2nd, 2001 01:29 amHad great fun tweaking my AIM profile today. Anyone who has me on their buddylist should check it out. I've always hated AIM's character limit. One of my friend's had a subprofile from SubProfile.com, but it was just hideously ugly. So I hacked the info.html file and just uploaded my own html files to my server and set up a blog for easier updating. Will and I are still trying to figure out how to get it linked back to the original profile. Actually, scratch that. Will figured out his own way around it. I'm still trying to figure out a way to link it to the original. Oh well.
Loafed around and did mostly nothing today. The next project for Graphic Design is going to be killer. Sometimes I wonder what the hell I'm good for. I know I can do webpages. And I can draw if given enough time. Customer service skills - no problem; been doing that for 6 years or so. I know my way around Photoshop and manips are a cinch, but I'm an Illustrator doofus. Two guys in my class - James and David - are just frelling amazing. Okay, so James is a grad student, but still. They can do stuff with Illustrator that just... rocks. I. Am. Never. Going to get a real job!
Won some very cool leather riding gloves on eBay for $9.01. They're the closest to Evo!Rogue's gloves that I've seen anywhere. Also dropped a vefty amount at Amazon. Needed to get print cartridges for Digital Print (which was a stupid expense), which ended up costing about $60. Then I got the new Dave CD for Claire and two CDs for myself. EPs from Four Star Mary and T.H.C.
Totally forgot to mention that I bought Jude's "King of Yesterday" CD and the 1997 Econoline Crush album, "The Devil You Know," when I went to town the other day. Love these albums. I can't believe Econoline's only getting air play now with "You Don't Know What It's Like." Everyone should be requesting that song!
Only thing that bothers me about the EC album is the secret track (#23) is a Japanese woman reciting a passage from the Bible. And I can't find the romanji for it anywhere! Argh >_<
Econoline Crush - "Razorblades And Bandaides"
you'd think that you'd notice
how i've simply choosen to fade
one fleeting moment
i would have hoped i could stay
if i kissed you would you push my face away?
if i told you how i feel would you have
listened anyway?
i miss you, more then words could ever say
i miss you, ever single empty day
did you think this would be easy my friend?
did you think it'd come to this our bitter end?
killed the magic, sucked the life out
buried me under the blame
follow me down to this our bitter end
i wish i'd noticed
all the postponements
you saved
i never told you
you were the one i believe
if i touched you would you have pushed
my hand away?
if i listened would i've heard the things
that made me run away?
i miss you more then words could ever say
i miss you every single empty day
did you think this would be easy my friend?
did you think it'd come to this our bitter end?
killed the magic, sucked the life out
buried me under the blame
follow me down to this our bitter end
