avi to dvd help

Am I deeply retarded? I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get a divx avi to burn to a DVD properly. I figured I have to convert it and have now downloaded and installed every conversion software known to man and I still don't get it! One avi file is converting to over 3GB of data. WTF?!

Does anyone know how to get more than one or two one hour episodes of a show on to a DVD? Somewhere around 4, at least.

Can I just convert the avi to a VCD mpg and then burn that? *confused* Do I have to have an ISO file?

Tuesday, The Daily Show Indecision 2004 DVD set is being released. 3 DVDs, $24.99 at Best Buy. Am thinking about it, but probably won't end up getting it.

OMGWTF. I fixed my divx audio problem. All I needed was a free audio codec. *facepalm* Great. Yay, AC3Filter. Wow, I am so retarded.

Tomorrow, will have to do massive cleaning. At some point I'm going to go see thebigfatman & pgnblade and their new baby.

I think I had other suff I wanted to say.. but now I've forgotten. *sigh* Randomly, my face is breaking out. Meh.
