Can the melting snow and rain stop now, please?

First thing I did today... make seijitataki's free lj account not ugly! I think it looks pretty damn good, considering. Which means... I can now take commissions from people with free accounts. It won't be as pretty as if you had a paid account, but it will be less plain... Style overrides starting at $10! Because css overrides are a biznitch.

Secondly, my tattoo, which has for the last few weeks been perfectly fine, has now started to itch and it sort of bumpy. I don't know why. I'm hoping it's just dry skin or something else that will go away.

At some point in the wee hours between Friday and Saturday, the pump in the basement broke, which means all the ground water is seeping into the basement... through the toilet down there >_< Every hour and a half, someone has to go down and scoop the water out of the toilet or else it will overflow. So guess who gets that job? Yes, everyone but my father. Well, to be fair, he did it today while we were gone. In any case, he doesn't seem in too much of a hurry to get it fixed. He refuses to call anyone on the grounds that it would cost too much. Erm, if it's not fixed by Thrusday, we're screwed because between Friday & Saturday there will be no one in the house! He called my mom while we were at the mall today and said that his major concern right now was the siding that was kind of bent. Uhm.. HELLO! Bent siding is not going to cause the basement to flood!

The best solution we have: mom, bro, and I are sleeping in shifts so we can empty the thing out before it overflows. I get to stay up until 4am. Think maybe I'll try finishing the new Merry Gentry book I started the other day. What's my father doing during all this? Sleeping, most likely...

Went to Linda's house for corned beef dinner. It was very good. I didn't know any of the people there so my brother and I just played with her computer the whole time.

As we left this morning, we noticed green liquid dripping out from the back of the Bronco. My father had parked it on the incline of the driveway last night *facepalm* Anyway, we tell my father and he just says to leave it. He calls my mother 4 hours later and tells her that it's gasoline and why the hell did I fill the tank all the way. Erm, hi, I don't have $50 to fill the Bronco's gas tank. My mother does. That's besides the point, though. We get home and the Bronco is still parked in the same spot... the dripping stopped at least. So.. no filling the tank all the way because I guess there's a leak or something.

Here's hoping I don't ignite something when I start the car :-P That would suck a lot... not that he cares...

You know... this explains the gas smell the other day.
