Went to let the dogs out this afternoon and found a bunny swimming in the pool. Got the net and scooped it out and set it in the sun to dry. Then I felt bad about leaving it there because we have a lot of cats in the neighborhood and I didn't want it to get eaten, so I sat and watched it. Probably going to catch some sort of infection now because I got bored after 30minutes just watching it and picked it up to move the thing around to make sure it wasn't broken anywhere. It was a little bunny - about a hand's length sitting scruntched up the way rabbits do. Eventually it sort of hopped away. Hope it doesn't get ate :-P

[livejournal.com profile] crushw_eyeliner - I forgot to mention yesterday when you asked - I love the label on the Tom McRae CD ^___^ Also loving the music on said CD. Yeah, count this as a successful takeover.

Did some DVD watching today. Wheee!

+ "Brotherhood of the Wolf" - strange French film about a Beast who chomps on people. I think I need to watch it again because I'm definitely missing important details.. or small details. Still annoyed with certain character deaths and the end was kind of weird. Cinematography was very lovely, though the freeze-framing and slow-mo were kind of distracting.

+ "Leon: The Professional" - skipped through the scenes that were in the American version to get to all the stuff that was cut. There are some very lovely scenes with Mathilda and Leon, but I can see why they cut them out. One of my favorite missing scenes was the sequence with Leon and Mathilda cleaning. It made her little display in the Federal building make a little more sense - she thinks she has the training and the skill to pull it off. Which, of course, she doesn't. But yeah... recommended.

+ Alias: Season 1 - Watched the commentary for "Truth Be Told". I'm about to go watch some more. "So It Begins" with commentary. Yay! :D

*bangs head* My father just called to ask me the difference between a service and a Mass. I don't know. I haven't been in a Catholic school or a church service/Mass in 4 years. Even then I wasn't paying attention. Also - not Christian. I told him to go find a Christian friend and ask them. So he's going to. Yay.

Tomorrow is September 11th. You what that means - that's right - Chinese Moon festival. I am ignoring the other meaning. la la la la la not listening

Working tomorrow from noon - 4:15pm. Got Friday off. Whee! So I will have time to work on icons for people and probably to watch more Alias.

Been working on the computer for about two hours and my wrist doesn't hurt so much. Yay for wrist splints ^_^* On the subject of computer things - I've had to restart this damn machine 5 times today because the USB adapter or USB port kept freaking out. *smacks it* I am not amused. Of course, this only seemed to happen when I was trying to download a DLM torrent, so this is possibly a conspiracy again me. If so, to that I say - I got the newest episode, so ha!

Almost every customer was a complete jerk today. Some woman called three times, each time giving me a different ISBN number for a book. Each time, we didn't have the book or it was out of stock. Then she would ask me if it was the right book. I would calmly tell her it was the book she gave me the ISBN number for, so yes, it would be the book. She would then try to confirm the author and edition. When I told her there was no edition information in the computer, she asked me again what edition it was. [face palm] ::reaches through phone and strangles her:: Ohmygoddon'tevercallback.Ever. People were just generally terse and rude. Ugh. Good thing I only worked 4 hours today. *twitch*

Picked up the Underworld novelization and Marvel Minimates. Ah... I know, I know. But I have the money now to faff around with, so just let me faff around, okay? Anyway, I went to Target and returned the $8 gloves because they really aren't helpful and the look ugly.

Now begins me rant about internet squatters and how completely assanine they are. Dude has lin.net registered and hasn't done anything with it. So I emailed him and asked if he would sell it to me. This is the reply:

I am more than willing to sell the domain to you at 1.5 million US dollar. If you are interested.

Hah. Yeah right. I'll give you $20 and make you a dorky website, you asshat. My reply:

I can give you $50. If not, good luck trying to get someone to pay the price you are asking.

To further illustrate the decline of our civilization, there's an auction on eBay for a "New Folder for Windows XP Professional" - that's right someone is selling a new folder for Windows. The winning bid was $80,000,100.00 US. Yeah. I thought that too.

News: "A lot of people had sympathy for Americans around the time of 9/11, but that's changed," said Cathy Hearn, 31, a flight attendant from South Africa, expressing a view commonly heard in many countries.
