Saff - Have e-mailed Hamilton College about the Tom concert. There was no mention of it on their website. My roommate from last semester is from Clinton, so she said she might go with me. Woohoo!

Oh yes - will bug [livejournal.com profile] theetherealdawn to play Tom on his radio show.

Am very partial to "Karaoke Soul." Likely due to Jo's Sark video.

And now, a meme...

LJ Friends meme or a complete waste of time, but a chance to spread the love )

Okay. And now it's time for bed!

Orlando and Kate. Ignoring the cries and screams of the teenies - they're cute together ^_^ Awww.

I don't know what the big deal is about who stars date. Okay, yes, I'm interested and sometimes there is that little "ew.. x should not be dating y" but that is merely an opinion (sometimes a strong one) that I don't expect anyone else to share or care about, least of all the two people involved. It annoys the crap out of me when I see teenies being all angsty over Orlando or whever the hot!boy is this week having a girlfriend and begging him (ha!) to date them instead. Child, please. It's not like you'd really have a shot at him/her anyway. If you thought you did, you need help. And why the hell are you sad - it doesn't make him any less attractive, does it? Give the dude a break and let him have a girlfriend. Don't go all drama queen and kill yourself. Who does that benefit exactly? Not you - you're dead. Not the celeb - they either will a) never hear about it b) feel really, really bad or c) will no longer be accessible in public for fear of the crazy fans.

In Asian countries, male celebrities are pretty much not allowed to say that they are married. I don't know if this is still the case, but I know it was about 10 years ago. If fangirls found out their idol was married, they would literally kill themselves. It's sick and demented. Why the hell would you do that? *shakes head* It became nearly policy that celebs would have lots of girlfriends and keep anyone permanent hush-hush. Hello, people, this leads to relationship problems for them. No one can function normally in a relationship where your partner is expected to cheat on you as part of their job.

So yes. Anti-Orli/Kate people - shut up. Kate seems like a nice enough person, or at least haven't heard anything about her being an evil bitch-monster. Orlando looks happy. They make a cute couple. So get over it.

This also, by the way, applies to the really scary contingent of Alias fans who are anti-Mrs. Vaughn. Actually, I don't care that you're anti-Mrs. Vaughn, but why the hell are you anti-Melissa George? You don't know anything about her - hell, there aren't even rumors about her. At least have the decency not to boo the poor girl she appears in public. That's just crass. I have celeb hate too, but I wouldn't boo her and I know the difference between a character and a real, live person. Also, though I dislike a celeb, I wouldn't wish them dead, just away from my fandom. Gods. Calm down, people.

[livejournal.com profile] sariandra - I got your gift in the mail! It's so pretty! ^_^ Thank you! *hugs* My mom loves turquoise - she will be jealous *g*

[livejournal.com profile] trippininabox - *hugs* You rock! Totally didn't expect both things from you and you totally didn't have to. I miss you lots, too. We need to arrange a trip for me to visit Marist some time ^_^

I just watched the commentary for "Almost Thirty Years." Best. Ever. The cast are so great together and they were all geeky and fannish. It's been said, but Merrin is a slasher! *g* Wished Victor had stayed around, but the rest of them probably couldn't make fun of him. It was sort of funny that he just left and no one realized it. I, of course, loved their reaction to the club scene because that was pretty much my reaction: "Dude, are you crazy? She will fuck your shit up." And then Sydney's covering her smile after Vaughn pushes the guy. Merrin points it out and says that she's all smiley as if saying "that's my guy!" *heehee!* Gah. I wish I could make caps. I want to icon that seqence so bad. *kicks player* Commentary for "So It Begins" was incredibly boring. "Q&A" commentary was fabulous and it's refreshing to hear producers who are not boring and have pointy things to say.

Is it December yet? *g* The season 2 set is going to rock. More extras. Better artwork. Sweetness.

OMG... a creepy black spider just ran across my floor and I don't know where it went. Now my skin is doing that weird twitchy thing I feel like, phantom spiders crawling on me. Gah. Eww. *twitch*

I am pointedly ignoring the two deaths today. Because I am odd and no one wants to hear my opinion of death as it makes me seem callus and strange.
amezri: (whatever)
Hrm. So it's Friday. That means it's time for my cable connection to be all unstable and crap out every five seconds. I called Road Runner and they said that thy would send a tech between 8am and 4pm tomorrow. Erm. Way to go with the time frame.

If I'm not online tonight, you'll know why. [livejournal.com profile] queenmaab, I'm working on your icon and hopefully the 'net will work so I can send it to you -_-;;

Am listening to Tom McRae while making dinner. Can buy the "Tom McRae" album from Amazon.com for $4 *g* [livejournal.com profile] crushw_eyeliner - where can I get "Just Like Blood" for a price that won't make my wallet cry?
amezri: (gollum)
Yanking the router for the day as Road Runner will be coming over sometime tomorrow to see if they can't fix whatever problem it is we're having. I doubt they'll be able to find anything since it's all working perfectly fine right now. This is so stupid. The guy is going to come over and there will be absolutely nothing wrong with any of the lines. Maybe I can get him to just replace the modem :-P

Til tomorrow. I love you all even if I haven't replied to your comments or talked to you lately. I'm just behind on everything -_-;;
