sleep.. now..

Got back from work awhile ago. Orientation at B&N was really, really, long. Longest training I've had for a job, other than the Help Desk, but that was all tech stuff and the week training was sort of necessary. Anyway, went over company stuff, policies, all that boring stuff. Filled out paper work and got a store tour. Nothing too exciting. Chatted with iambliss a few times, which was of the good ^_^ Didn't get chance to say goodbye as she was counting money at the register and we were being shuffled off. I have.. so many more hours than I thought I was going to have o.< I've been scheduled again for Thursday & Friday and in two weeks, I'm up for 5 shifts, about 6 hours each. Yeowch. :;think of the money. think of the money::

Found out my computer decided to dump my USB adapter, so I had to restart and fiddle. Argh. Fixed it, had dinner. The meatloaf I made this afternoon was pretty tastey, even reheated. Watched the end of some movie my mom was watching.

Cancelled my PotC torrent since I might be getting it another way, so forget about the stupid burning and stuff :-P There has to be something wrong with my Dead Like Me download, though... it's saying 8879 hours. Hours. ::restarts it:: Oh good, now it says 8 hours. That's... better.

I need to go to bed, but I really want to win that skull watch from eBay. Ah, screw it. I'll just bid on it right before I go to bed and leave it. There are a couple more up for auction in the next week, so.. whatever. I need sleep.

I won the priate watch! :D For way a bit less than I thought I would, except they're charging $8 for shipping o.< so.. sort of happy. I wonder if the fugly new eBay look has anything to do with the fact they're powered by IBM :-P Have another thing that's going to need paying for soon, so I need to set aside $30 for that. Yeah, no more spending for me.

The Dead Like Me download is still chugging along. Should be done when I get back from work, though, so I can burn the two eps I have downloaded.

Roofers are here again. I'm going to have to ask them to move their truck, which is taking up the entire freaking driveway. I'm surprised they're working as it's sort of rainy. Although, the sooner they get done, the better. The bastards keep leaving the gates open. If some child wanders in and drowns in our pool - they're being sued :-P

Off to shower, get dressed, eat breakfast, and be on my way to my first day of work. Yay? Contemplating taping Xena, but.. nah...

It was interesting. I didn't screw up at all, though I was really nervous I would. Rang up a lot of purchases - more than I thought I would. But I was polite and courteous and helpful. And I balanced at the end of the shift! Huzzah! Working again tomorrow afternoon, but at the info desk. So.. that should be fun. Oy.

My computer is being a total bitch today. The printer is retarded, so I can't do any prints. My mpgs are not burning to VCD, so I have to redownload, and my sound just crapped out. Joy. On the plus side, still keeping an eye on ticket prices and Nov 23 - Dec 23 still seem to be the best dates.
