I was watching "Lord of the Rings", minding my own business when my brother calls me. He's at the SciFi Farscape chat where Froon, DK, and Ben Browder have just dumped the news that Farscape has been cancelled. After the final 11 episodes of season 4, it will be no more!

[10:03] Where do we stand?
[10:04] We are two days away from shooting the last scenes
[10:04] of season 4.
[10:04] As you know, Sci Fi has picked us up
[10:04] for 4th and 5th seasons.
[10:04] However, as with everything done at a
[10:04] corporate level,
[10:05] there was an out clause built into Sci Fi's
[10:05] pickup schedule.
[10:05] As of yesterday, we were informed --
[10:05] after massive efforts by everyone at Henson
[10:05] and working on the show --
[10:05] most importantly Brian Henson
[10:05] and the 3 gentlemen
[10:05] here
[10:06] that Sci Fi was not going to exercise it's
[10:06] option to pick up the 5th season of Farscape.
[10:06] The rumors that everyone has been calling me
[10:06] about are sadly
[10:06] very sadly true.
[10:06] Tuesday will be the last time Ben dons the uniform
[10:06] of Commander John Crichton.
[10:06] We are all hugely sad.
[10:07] I am shaking as I write this.
[10:07] Yesterday, we all cried on the set.
[10:07] Yet, as we are, at the end of the line
[10:07] so to speak
[10:07] being just the people who make the show
[10:07] and not the corporate entities that fund and air it
[10:07] we are as helpless as anyone.

What the flying fuck?! SciFi has got to have the dumbest programming directors out there! What other show has gotten better ratings and a larger following than Farscape? They already cancelled I-Man because it wasn't "cost effective." Jaysus, why don't you just shut down the station while you're at it.

[10:31] Volume and speed. Dissappointment is better than anger.
[10:31] Remember that furious people

[10:32] no misspellings, no obscenities

[10:33] be civilised

Ben says civilised, so I will try to be civilised.... or not.

Damn you, SciFi!! Damn you dirty bastards!

Great mail campaign idea from the BBoard:

Date: 09/07/2002
From: HeyLoki

That outta get their attention when not just envelopes, but huge amounts of Saltines and Ritz and Triscuts and Wheat Thins start arriving...

I am NOT kidding!!!

If you can slap a well seen lable,
like a big white one (glued securely)
onto the outside of a box of say...
Chicken In A Biscut hee hee

DO IT!

( The post office will mail ANYTHING as long as it has an address and sufficient postage!
I once partook in an art show about things that could be sent via the US Postal System. If it arrived at address specified, you were in the show! And yes... mine was encrusted in beads... like you had to even ask. LOL
So, boxes of crackers without a outter brown paper wrapper... Will be nothing!
Ppl for this art show sent bricks, rocks, fruit, maniquine parts, a 'new' diaper, there was even a piece of toast dipped in wax! <<>> )

Also if you are sending more than one letter or box of crackers...
Try vary your sending as much a possible.
Send them from various locations, different post offices, different postal mail boxes, etc.
If ya can't do that, or if you can only mail once, ask if they will put into different baskets in the post office.

I swear if we can get a million boxes of crackers to show up, somebody WILL NOTICE!!!!

Hey, it worked when Roswell fans sent in bottles of tabasco sauce to WB, and that wasn't even the network's top-rated show. Let's go, people! Get your ass in gear!

CRACKERS DO MATTER!
