That's, of course, totally trumped by thee guy who made one that looks like a projection television, but the one above cost like, $50, so.
New army cluster bombs sound vaguely Jericho-like. Stark Industries should sue. Actually, they're not explosive -- they just drop thousands of tiny darts on you. I'm not really sure that's better except for the part where later on you can't accidentally blow yourself up stumbling upon one that hasn't exploded. Good luck walking across that bomb zone, though. (I am most amused that the image they used is a still from Iron Man.)
Be a Space Ambassador! And you can fly in Virgin Galactic for free. Okay, not really -- only one of the ambassadors will get a flight.
Make a portable Wikipedia with an old Psion 5mx and Linux. Awesome. Who wouldn't want their own Hitchhiker's Guide?
Homemade Sun Jar. I think I might try this out as my first foray into electronics. Even though this isn't really more than taking something apart and shoving it into different housing.
