cake; woodstock
Apr. 28th, 2007 07:30 pmLast night I was over at
sweetwildandmad and
katkel's. I showed
katkel how to make scallion chicken. It was yummy. After dinner, we all observed as
sweetwildandmad's Pandamonium cake was created!
What's that, you ask? Well, Threadless.com is having a Threadless Loves Cake! contest. You pick a shirt and then design a cake around that design.
sweetwildandmad wanted to do Pandamonium and I was invited along to document.

All 112 photos at Chaodis Photographia.
sweetwildandmad's threadless blog entry: PANDAMONIUM Cake!
I think it came out really, really cool. Way better than those stupid fondant cakes :-P
Today I went to Woodstock with
queenmaab, Annalisa, and Kori. Got all the way there without a problem. Parked the car for free in the lot mom and I always use. It was great! When we got there, it was early enough that some of the shops were still closed by anything we wanted was pretty much open. There weren't too many people about and it was only overcast, but not raining yet.
I can't remember where we went when, but we did, during the course of the day, hit the Bead Emporium, the quilt supply place, the fudge/candy shop, the wool company, Modern Mythology, and a bunch of other shops we'd all wanted to go in. It was a great time.
We had an early lunch at Joshua's which was really great. I'd never actually been in there before (always passed it by), but it's really good and our waiter was really funny :) Would totally eat there again.
Of course I can't go to Woodstock without coming back with some goodies, so... let's what what I've got...
+ candied ginger, an Aero bar, and Razzles from Woodstock Candy
+ two Pontiki (a purple egg and a green cylinder) from White Gryphon Boutique & Studio. They were the last two they had.
+ from Tinker St. Toys: Acrbot Dragon, Invisible Plan alien pod creature, and two Bearbricks (Series 1 grey with black tribal tattoos, series 13 pink with white dots)
I will probably take photos of the new toys tomorrow where there is light out. Right now, I need food.
