People.

I need to make a new mix. But I don't know what! And there seem to be enough of you on my flist that actually liked my SGA mixes, so I value your opinions ;)

So.

New mix. What topic? What pairing? Story arc? Anything?!

You can pull from SGA or new Doctor Who. Or, you know, pick a topic?

I had a Weir mix that was half done and an aborted second geek mix, so you can nag me for those as well.

Am I loony or did you do a mix once of songs Ford put together to introduce Teyla to Earth music. And even if I am crazier than bedbug, what about mix put together by John to familiarize Ronon with the noise everyone is always playing (with some additions by McKay and Zelenka and Weir, so that it isn't all Johnny Cash *g*)?

Or go for the sad: Seven songs Rodney found on Grodin's laptop when they were packing up his possessions after the siege, while checking for any letters or anything else that could be shipped back to his family without giving away the truth?

I did! It was my "Welcome to the Team" mix. Looking back on it, I'm not really sure I liked it all that much, BUT! A mix for Ronon would be cool. *writes that down*

I love that idea, but I don't think I have a good enough grip on Grodin's character to do that one. Will have to think it over.

Thanks for the ideas! :D

I do love your SGA mixes, but.... OH OH!! New Who mix would be divine! Perhaps a mix for Ten or Ten/TARDIS (that pairing gets surprisingly so little love). Ian Dury optional. Maybe for The Runaway Bride?

Don't mind me, just on crazy high Who bent right this second. New trailer OMGYAY!!!! March 31st!!

Although this could just be me. I've been wanting to make a new Who mix, but I've been waiting for S3 to start for new inspiration.

Oooo.... Ten/TARDIS. Now that could be interesting.

I really need to burn stuff off my computer so I can get new Who :x

I think I'd have a wish, but it'd be a bit odd and I'd feel so presumptuous and ... *shuffles feet*

Oooo.. come on now! Share! Or you can e-mail me the wish instead ;)

A few less embarassing/presumptuous ideas would be:
Songs for a day off - what do all of them listen to when they relax and it's not a day like "Sunday"?
Post-mission chill out?
Something multi-ethnic fo the Atlantis population?
Songs the team never wanted to hear on their birthdays?
Classical pieces Elizabeth Weir listens to when she is close to burning out?

I second the multiethnic idea.

Gah! So many great ideas! I love the day off idea, but I fear I may project some of my current musical interests into it. Might give it a go anyway. (In my brain, I've suddenly got Carson listening to the Fratellis' Chelsea Dagger.)

Your Weir suggestion reminds me that I don't know nearly enough about classical, but that I should finish my Weir mix, which was all a bunch of girl pop/rock. I think that's what Weir secretly jams out to alone in her quarters :)

Having just glutted myself on The City of the Seven Walls, and greatly enjoyed your Palace Gardens mix, I went looking for more. Sadly, the files of the Gilded Cage are no longer up at _rfa.

Would you be willing to email me the zip file? I really liked the mix I have, and I'm on an Arabic flavored music kick right now.

My email is noackny @ gmail.com, or we could do it another way.

Keep making mixes, they rule. As for ideas, have you read the Farm in Iowa AU by sheafrotherdon? Sometimes she makes soundtracks, but if you've read it I'd find your interpretation worth a listen. It's long, but good.

I've reuploaded the Guilded Cages mix here :)

I haven't read the Farm AU yet. I'm sort of sad to admit I haven't read any SGA fic in like... 5 months! That is so sad. It's on my long list of fic to read when I get back to it though :)

an aborted second geek mix

Do you know how long I've been waiting for that??? *needs*

I also liked the idea of a mix that John uses to introduce Ronon to earth... with other people contributing because of their fear of John using nothing but Johnny Cash. (which he wouldn't, but they freak anyway.)

I knooooow! But I got sort of stuck and just never finished it :\ I guess I should get back to work on it. LOL It was getting sort of horrible with really inane, annoying songs like "Peanut Butter Jelly Time" and stuff like Python's Argument skit.
