Huh. My flist is much easier to read once I've filtered out comms and news feeds. Anyway...

After work today, I stopped in at Target again because yesterday I forgot to buy what I actually went in there for -- toothpaste. Genius. Remembered it when I went to brush my teeth last night and had to dig out my travel toothpaste because my tube was empty. While there, I also picked up a 1GB USB Drive for $18. It's possible I don't actually need it, but whatever. It's good to have an extra because my other one is only like 128MB. Lame.

Last night I went over to [livejournal.com profile] thebigfatman and [livejournal.com profile] pgnblade's to watch some more season 1 Lost. We have about 3 more episodes left. I apparently never managed to watch "The Greater Good" so I missed that entire bit of Sayid's backstory. Actually, I'm not sure I watched the last three episode of the season either because looking at Lostpedia, I don't remember watching any of that.

Speaking of Lost, The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences is presenting an Evening with Lost this Saturday a7:30pm. The event is sold out, of course, but they'll be doing a live webcast. I'll probably forget all about it by Saturday, but someone on my flist should check it out and report back. Jimmy Kimmel is hosting which... does not compute in my brain, but whatever.

Joseph Mallozzi apparently has a new blog (or [livejournal.com profile] j_mallozzi_blog). Wherein he generally posts pictures of food, so [livejournal.com profile] eretria, you ought to have a look! Heh.

via [livejournal.com profile] fyrdrakken: Bruce Campbell Old Spice commercial. omg. wtf, Bruce. WTF?

Okay, so I haven't seen SGA 3.16 yet, but I've just looked at some caps and... WTF? Sheppard's in a 2-pocket black BDU shirt! Of course, he has the sleeves rolled up all sorts of wrong, but... yeah. In the early part of the episode you can't see velcro for the patches, but at the end of the ep, he has the Earth flag on the right and the Atlantis patch on the left.

Can those BDU shirts be standard gear now? Because a) so much easier for me to find and b) cheaper.

Heh. Of course StargateHero has already jumped on it (well, [livejournal.com profile] stoyboy720, actually) and it seems the patches are on the wrong sides and there really was no velcro. Hrm. I guess we'll have to see what the outfit looks like on other episodes to be sure...

Oooo... my favorite Doctor Who ep, "The Girl In the Fireplace," has been nominated for a Nebula Award! Rawk! It's up against "Batman Begins" and "Howl's Moving Castle" for Best Script so far; the nominations are still in the preliminary round.

[livejournal.com profile] mcmi11ions told me today that Stephen Colbert and Bill O'Reilly will be guesting on each other's shows next Thursday (Jan 18). That should be... interesting.

Awww. No he doesn't! He looks like-- okay, he looks like he belongs on SG1. Why does Sheppard always get the "unique" items -- the Matterhorns, the leather jacket, now BDUs.
