can't think of it off the top of my head and work computa doesn't allow for chinese characters (doh!) will investigate yummie crunchy fruit though. i miss.

蓮霧 (lian2 wu4, or lián wù)
the literal translation? "lotus fog" kinda silly, no? it's also known as a "wax apple" but it doesn't look like what we know of as apples though.

did you also try the star fruit? with the seasoning that makes them less tart? ah...i miss taiwan

I've had star fruit before, but not with the seasoning...

I sort of miss Taiwan, too.crushw_eyeliner and I have talked about going there together some day. We should make it a group trip ^^
