Uhm. Came home and raked the lawn until dark. That was... not exactly fun.

Poked around my e-mail a bit before watching "John Quixote" again. With commentary! I love Ben and Claudia so, so much. Makes me glad I'm going to the Farscape con next week, yep. I love my crazy, crazy cast.

Uhm. quick non-spoilery comments on tonight's shows:

BSG: Yeah, how much do I love this show? I whole hell of a lot. Baltar, though I like him a lot, continues to be a dumbass. Ryan Robbins (Ladon Radim)! JAMMER! OMG. Also, can we please get rid of Fat!Lee? Because the makeup is really starting to weird me out. ("Keep jumping.")

Doctor Who: Hm. So I've finally managed to watch a whole episode and I'm still not sure I like it. I dunno. Visually, it's not that interesting to me. It's so terrible, but I'm used to the look of American production -_-;; Anyway, they showed "Rise of the Cybermen." It was... I definitely like David Tennant, though. Heh.

Blargh. Sick. Gonna go sleep it off.

Doctor Who is some good times, I just caught up on the entirety of the new series. It's a pretty fun show. I'd say start with the Christopher Ecclston stuff first just to get the full story arc of the two seasons, though David Tennant is a lot of fun. :)

Yeah, people keep saying good things to me about it and I did look at the DVD sets, but damn those prices are high :\ I should look into, uh... an "alternative." *cough*

I love Who, but I didn't care for "Rise of the Cybermen" either, the first time I saw it or now. Too bad you didn't catch last week's or the week before (Giles was in that one). Last week's was one of the better Who eps of the whole new series imo. But then I could just be saying that cuz of the whole cool steampunky-ness of it all ::is easily swayed by the pretty:: And David Tennant does bring a *whole* lot of pretty.

Oh! I did see a bit of last week's. It was neat and I sort of wish I'd watched the whole thing so I knew what the hell was going on. Sophia Myles was in it :D

David Tennant is very pretty. Yesh.

Sophia Myles does have that whole turn-worthy gorgeous thing going on (and could that corset have been any tighter?). She reminds me of a blonde Rachel Weisz. I'd strongly suggest Sophia and DT have many beautiful babies together.

Although if you wanted to hang-on a few eps longer (or just skip a couple) for a big (slightly scary) sci-fi spectacle, watch the 208/209 two-parter. The production pretty much blew the wad on those two eps and it paid off imho. It's a lot better then this meh Cybermen 2-parter, but then... sci-fi spectacles with a slightly scary vibe are love. :hugs the 'Alien' trilogy a little closer:

I loved Sophia in Tristan & Isolde :) So very pretty.

I'll probably end up catching a few more eps of Who since it's on before BSG :)

Watch the episode (well, episodes, it was a two-parter) with the creepy things with gas masks that keep saying "Are you my mummy?" That was a good one.

I second this. These two eps (109/110) still stand as two of my favorite of the whole series, closely followed by last week's (204). All written by Steven Moffat, so clearly this man is made of awesome.

Uhm. I just read the summary on IMDB. Zombie children and creepy hospitals? Interesting...

Hmm. What eps are these? I clearly need to find someone who has them and make them give them to me :-P

Ah hah! You finally watched it!
Anyways.
I think [livejournal.com profile] sweetwildandmad should be able to provide you with said episodes. I made copies for him, but don't have them myself anymore.

I DO however, have all of the new season 2 episodes with Tennant.

I second that! I saw those two, and the creepy was well...creepy. It was part of why I liked Ninth, I think. It gave me nightmares the night after watching them.

But it was Christopher Eccleston, wasn't it? He was... wrong. Not a Doctor I like to watch. And far too old for Billie Piper, although thankfully not ginger.

Ryan Robbins (Ladon Radim)!

THANK YOU. Jesus. I feel like an idiot. I was literally on my couch last night going, "DAMNIT I KNOW he's SOMEone I know!" Freakin' Ladon. ;)

Heee! It was sort of weird seeing him on BSG, but now I get why he had the long hair in his last SGA ep :)

Dr. Who. Tennant annoys me for some reason. He doesn't grab me like Ninth did (not that I watched that entire season, but still). I just look at him and think of a kid playing dress up. He doesn't strike me as the guy that could win in any situation.

And yes, sleep off while being sick. NO MORE RAKING when sick, either. No need to make it worse!

You clearly didn't grow up with the Beeb. All BBC sci-fi has the costumes and sets made on Blue Peter. It's traditional. And very entertaining, trying to guess whether the baddies were made out of toilet roll tubes or fairy liquid bottles. And also probably an accurate representation of how slapdash any English space ship would actually love. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blue_Peter
All hail David Tennant. We dribble. Although the new Robin Hood is better. Found him yet? Like a young Aragorn. With a less spasticated accent.

Space ships that love. Hmm. Not going to consider where that slip of the tongue came from...
